Maybe, but that’s materially different from being a bad franchise. I agree it’s annoying we seem to need to be underrated in order to be at our best, but it doesn’t make us a bad franchise.

Ok, average franchize. Good teams can consistently win as the favorite.

Yup. We’re not there yet, but at least we’re not Cleveland. I had to go to Cleveland last year. You wouldn’t believe the absolutely enormous puddle of Browns fans tears right next to the stadium. It stretches out as far as the eye can see. I think they even gave it a name. Lake Erie or some such.

They did beat us last year.

If you have to be an underdog to win it's not a good thing.

The statement we win when we are flying under the radar is overused tripe.  How did we go 15-1 and continue to bash everyone's brains in week after week once we became 12-0?  Other than the Patriots which I hate with all my passion, I love front runners who have their sh*t together and beat the teams they are supposed to beat.  Its like Gerald McCoy said in London before the game "The true test of a man's mental toughness is consistency".  I want us to be a consistent winner instead of flying under the radar.

because the entire time we were winning we were basically viewed as frauds.  Weakest undefeated team in NFL history.

Panthers by all appearance seem to be a 10-15 team ranking............they haven't shown with their current line up they can beat a GB, NE, KC, or Saints team at this point...........I'd put 49er's just under the aforementioned teams and that will be enough of a test for Carolina to win that game........so the rankings are the rankings............

They look realistic to me...........back when Cam was out before Allen started his first game this year most of you had this team ranked in the bottom 3rd anyway and now you want us to be higher ranked than we are?

Yeah, because the Patriots are getting all the coverage this year.  I remember we were at 12-0 and they were leading with coverage of other teams.  By that time, we had beaten Brees, Romo, Luck, and Seattle at home.  Nothing NFL gets talked about this year without leading with the Patriots.  It is high end malarkey because their schedule is just garbage truck juice.

Patriots are basically the SEC of the NFL.
