AJ Green is worth, in my opinion, a 4th or 5th round pick at best right now. Coming off ankle surgery, in the final year of a contract, and would need to not only learn a brand new offense for like the 2nd time ever in his career but would also need to build chemistry with either of the QBs who could potentially start for the rest of the season. And he would take snaps from Samuel.

So, if you trade for AJ Green, you better not give up a 3rd round pick or better.

THAT SAID, I would LOVE AJ Green on this roster. If he is actually healthy and just playing the injury card until the trade deadline, he is by far better than any other WR on the roster. If he can just go out and run vanilla routes as he learns the roster, he could still score more TDs and catch more passes for more yards than any other WR currently on the roster, with either Allen or Newton.

If you can convince him to sign an extension, even better.

This defense is strong enough to make a deep playoff run, this offense is 1 piece away (like AJ Green) from being a candidate for a wild card surprise if Allen leads the way, and a SB contender if Cam is back healthy.

I think its worth the risk of a 4th and 5th pick in the future but probably not worth a 3rd.

AJ Green or Robby Anderson.  I don't know the contract situations for both, but if...wait when we beat San Fran would you give up a 4th or 5th round to solidify a deep threat for at least just this one season?  Seems like a lot if their contracts are up after this season.  Robby (hammy) we know is a little healthier than AJ (ankle).

AJ Green is 31 and due a new contract after this year.  I can see the motivation for the Bengals there.  Plus injury prone at this point.  Robby Anderson is 26 and probably the Jets best WR but also in a contract year.  However...he will be expensive in terms of return IMO barring the Jets being complete idiots.  If he doesn't bring back a first rounder or high 2 why in the world trade him?  Seems like total speculation atp.

Complacency is our worst enemy.

I don’t see any player worth trading a first for, and wouldn’t be for it anyway.

very few names are worth a 2nd

a good bit of decent players worth a 3rd

and 4th and belong are high reward low risk players.

whatever we need or can upgrade that will push us over the top, I just hope we proactively attack that need or upgrade

now this.....

SNY reports the Jets are willing to trade contract-year DT Leonard Williams.

The Jets evidently have no plans to re-sign the No. 6 overall pick of the 2015 draft, who was also on the block last spring. Not re-signing his own players was a major theme for Adam Gase in Miami. Still only 25, Williams has never generated lofty sack totals, but he has earned consistently solid marks from Pro Football Focus. He's also never missed a game with injury.
