49ers Fans Seem Very Confident

Still remember 49ers fans acting up at the Greensboro Panthers meet and greet a couple years ago.

I remember that. Their playoff win in 2013 is to date the worst I've ever seen a fanbase act in an opposing city. Really ugly and belligerent. Grown folks being obnoxious and yelling at sad little kids even. Two fights broke out on my way back to the car. I was surprised honestly.

Compare that to the Giants game when OBJ and Norman tried to kill each other. Nice folks of East Rutherford were saying nice things about our team and NC BBQ.

49's fans are are getting very confident.

Here are a few of there comments.

"I'm just hoping Panthers pissed their pants a little when we signed Sanders yesterday. Yes I am that shallow. Go NINERS. Making Panthers change their game plan this late in week got to help us substantial."

"Panthers fans on reddit and their message boards are still saying the Niners are overrated, though some are now concerned that mastermind Shanny has another weapon with Sanders."

"nah jimmy will have a near perfect game and we'll stomp these fools."

In what crazy world would signing Sanders on a Tuesday alter our gameplan for this weekend?

He doesn’t add anything new or fundamentally different.  Just a different body.  He also isn’t going to alter what the run pass ratio is going to be going in.

Meh. They're just like any other team that's sucked a long time then blasts off to 5-0. They're excited and a little cocky, because hey, they don't have to play on Sunday, the players do. This board has been like that in the past. We're a little more jaded now. They will be too eventually.

I still think we can beat them. Should be a good game. We've fared well in SF when we're the underdogs and they're rolling.

I remember feeling very confident before the 2008-09 playoffs.

Jake was always suspect that year.

But I would have bet a poo ton of the Panthers beating the Broncos in 2015.  Good thing I don't gamble on games.

I was the reverse. I had a really bad feeling about the Super Bowl going in.

I even told my then-wife before the game that if we lose it would be because of 58. I hated the premonition and then watching it play out. Sickening.
