There is no designated to return on an IR player. If a player is on the active roster to start the season (unlike Gano), they are always eligible to return after 8 weeks. You just have two returns to use each year so you choose to let them return when they are eligible not before. If two better players (knock on wood and I’ll use a past example) were hurt last week in London they they could have been chosen over Hogan in week 15.

There always seems to be some confusion but there’s another 6 or 7 weeks before we decide on Hogan and hopefully we are lucky and choose to let him return since that would mean no bigger players are hurt before then.

Thanks for telling me something I already knew.... next time Ill use "eligible to return"

Sounds good. Sorry you are a little butt hurt by the lesson. Just spreading some knowledge to others as well since most people in here don’t know. That’s why I tried to not be an ass and just explain it. Knowledge for all as I like to say!

I've already posted a thread on this topic in the past. Not butt hurt, just expected better from you on recognizing other regulars and their posts.

Do we really need to be "in the wide receiver market"?

(in the return guy market, maybe)

I think based off what we’ve seen from our depth this year is we need contributors to step in and preform well at any moment. Also this to me would indicate serious frustration with the drops and minimal production from Wright. I just remember this article a year or two ago I googled it quickly to bring it up. He’s exactly what we need a big play WR deep threat and a excellent punt returner.

Depth. With Hogan hurt, we don’t have anyone good enough on the bench.

I'd take a chance on AJ Green but it will cost a decent pick. He seems to just be a few weeks away from playing (should know by deadline) and he’s a FA after this year. That means if you give up say a 3rd in 2020, you’ll get back a comp 3rd in 2021. It’s kind of a rental but if healthy it’s a heck of a rental that could make the difference. Imagine Kyle or Cam with AJ and Samuel outside, DJ in the slot, Greg at TE and CMC in the backfield. Sounds like a good time to me.

I would rather bring back Torrey Smith for the rest of the season.  Not a great addition, but could fill until Hogan comes back.  And wouldn't cost any draft picks.
