Cam needs to be 100% running and throwing.  If he is, let him play.  If not, let Allen play.  I would not want to rush Cam back to get broken in half by the 49ers pass rush.  If he's able to avoid the pass rush and make plays, then great.  But if not, then he's not 100%.

I've seen no accounts that suggest he will be healthy enough to start vs SF. 

returning to some variation of practice isn't an account he is ready to roll vs SF

Players often spend weeks at various levels of practice before getting a green light when coming off an injury.

Exactly. I havent seen anything from the team that suggests he will be practicing at any capacity. Still wondering where this came from. I know people a month ago put after the bye on their mental calendars, but I think it is unfair to think or assume he has healed enough to be anywhere close to effective.
