I find it interesting that so many Cam backers want him to sit against San Fran and return vs Tennessee

anyone wanting to see '15 cam is delusional.   that style of play is for a man who hasn't figured out he's mortal yet.   and jersey dude, you said you'll never have cheered harder for us to lose.  is that something you do often?   how do you have anything to compare it to?   so you're so attached to your opinion that you want us to lose to prove you right?   you're not a panther fan.  sorry. you're just a dude who found a place to try and prove yourself right about things.

Becsuse Cam Newton is a top 10 QB in the NfL when healthy. Franchise QBs don’t lose their jobs coming off a foot injury to an undrafted free agent. If you need more of an explanation go google search it and watch how cam and Luke have carried this team over the past decade on their backs. And I’m tired of dumbass front running fans who jumped on the bandwagon in 2015 dancing on Cams grave.

I don't need more of an explanation. There's nothing here I disagree with. Allen might turn out to be great long term, but only a fool throws out their franchise qb for the sake of someone with 5 games experience. The only thing I'm worried about is whether or not the injuries will let him return to form. If he can, watch out. I think we're a load for anyone to deal with.

And you're accusing ppl of not being able to distinguish a hockey puck from a football... right

Good luck with your future GM prospects

Hillarious. Mario Addison will be turning 33 going into his next contract. Name how many successful teams pay big money to two starting Cornerbacks. Name how many teams pay top money for two Inside Linebackers. If yo want to talk about a player declining, look no further than Kawann Short. I like the guy, but the defense hasn’t missed a beat since his injury. I stand by what I said.

I’ve forgotten more about this franchise than you’ve ever known. Like I said I’m tired of bandwagon fans disrespecting the single greatest QB in franchise history. If it is even a thought to replace Kyle Allen for cam newton permanently, then yes I want the Panthers to lose a game, and I will be cheering for it. You can recover from one game, you can’t rexover from inexplicably letting a franchise QB walk when you don’t have a sure thing in place.

I don't want Cam the battering ram of 2015. But he could throw a better ball in 2015 before the first shoulder surgery and subsequent scar buildup. So perhaps it is delusional but I want Cam the passer in 2015 if that is possible with his improved technique and Norv as his OC.    Is that asking too much?

i don't think the first part about how much you know is correct and i think the last part proves my point that you're not a fan of the panthers.  you're a fan of your opinions and this is just a place where you can try and prove them right.    that you're so confident cam can and will stay healthy is a telling sign of your unreasonableness.   nobody here knows that.   not 1 person.   so congrats for cheering against us to prove yourself right.   have fun with that.

nope buddy, that is what's called perfectly reasonable and hoping for his long term ability to play qb.  you dastardly bastage you.

Brian burns isn’t a free agent for 5 years. I’m not losing my franchise QB because I need to pay my pass rusher 5 years from now. I’m willing to lose short, Addison, Reid, donte Jackson, Shaq Thompson. And again there is no reason they have to lose them all to keep Cam. And you seem to forget they get to draft new players every year.

I agree with this for the most part. Addison is awesome, but we can't afford to pay him big money with him being on the wrong side of 30 and our young replacements are already in place. Burns is down the road. Donte jackson we don't yet have to pay so no worries there. I think Reid's contract is already a done deal for a couple years so he might not matter much. I hope we can keep Shaq and Bradberry both but if I have to choose between the two it's Bradberry. Based on current performance DJ won't break the bank and his contract isn't for a few years anyway. Daryl Williams is making 6 mil this year to be horrible. His money goes to keep somebody, probably Bradberry realistically.

What's killing me is the 27 mil tied up in Short and Turner sitting on the sideline and neither of them are cutable due to contract length.

Forgive me for not worrying about losing DJ Moore and Brian Burns in free agency 4 to 5 years from now. Cam newton is more important than every player you listed, just as a franchise QB is the most important player on the roster of every team. It is possible to pay a QB and still build a good team around him just so you know.

He is so important. We cant win without him.

So you don’t pay the Cam Newton from the first 8 games of 2018, coming off a dominant playoff game against the Saints in 2017? Come on now.

Not the guy they had to take out to throw a 15 yard out route to set up a FG to end the half of that Ravens game and another instance where a hail mary was attempted. His arm strength used to be a huge asset but it has taken a hit. I'm still skeptical about his shoulder, not sure if the Ajax and Faboluso did the trick in the "clean-out" procedure. BUT, when he comes back and everything is clicking, then yes, absolutely he should be a priority to keep.

I think the biggest issue here is some people don't believe or are at least skeptical he can come back to where we expect, not that at his peak he isn't far and away better than Allen. Put me in the skeptical category but I would love to be wrong because otherwise, this will just be another super bowless season.

That's asking for something pretty unlikely at this point. You can't undo the shoulder situation.

His range of motion and pain seemed to be better in training camp and the preseason before he got hurt again. He was dropping dimes with his deep throws to Samuel in training camp.

Yeah... whomever you're talking to to make this argument isn't going to buy what your selling.  But good luck!
