This was incredibly stupid for the Rams. I love myself some elite shutdown conners but they are just not worth the money they ask for. Best case scenario a elite CB can still only cover 1 player a game. 

And right now there aren’t that many elite WR’s either. I mean who is really out there? Maybe 3-4 truely elite WR’s in the game right now. And of those some of them it’s more the QB that’s making them elite

No player is worth 2 first rounders 2 years in a row. I'd hate that if the Panthers did that for anyone. 

Especially with Hurney's ability to hit gold mines on 1st round picks that would be asinine for us to do.

I would rather us be a mediocre team that always has their first 2 round draft picks and tries to rebuild through the draft and use FA smartly rather than gamble away picks for multiple years for one player who could at any  moment get injured or decline or various other things. 

That type of move can set a franchise back for half a decade if not more.

And people told me teams wouldn't give up two 1st rounders for Cam. Y'all really underestimate just how dumb and desperate franchises are. And you can bet there is a team out there desperate enough to give us 3 1st rounders and a 3rd for Cam (not that I want Cam gone, I'm just saying, if that kind of offer came up it would be tempting). Rams really fugged themselves on this one tbh. That is WAY too much draft capital for a corner (albeit, a shutdown corner).
