Oh I guess the panthers had a horrible game last week since the D gave up over 500 yards.

Nobody with any knowledge of football prioritizes yards over scoring when it comes to rankings defense. The only reason CRA is using yards it cause it suits his agenda even though it’s wrong,

Defense has been main factor in wins. Giving the offence extra chances to score. We have settled for field goals. The Arizona game Kyle played his best ball. Next is CMC keepong the defenses on their toes. Then Kyle Allen gets credit for managing games and tossing to his outlet cmc. He got lucky on a few passes that were poorly thrown that shouldve been picked if we want to get honest about. It. Overall if our defense was bottom of the pack like last year we would only have 2 wins right imo

I'm not the one desperately wanting to paint Allen in a bad light and prop up Cam.  It isn't needed.  Cam doesn't need the desperation going on. 

I gave you DVOA numbers w/ links too in addition to the basic rankings.

I didn’t even mention Allen once this thread, but nice try again. But you are down playing Cam’s tenured here and making seem like the defense has carried him even reality it’s the opposite way. The offense has ranked higher than D the majority of Cam tenure.

 

Meanwhile you keep avoiding the fact that a defensive minded HC who has used the majority of his recourses on D has under performed.

I'm just speaking from a factual premise.

Of course I would prefer my defense to force 7 turnovers and record 7 sacks, give up 400 yards passing and my team wins. As oppose to the defense giving up only 300 yards forcing 0 turnovers, 0 sacks and my team lose.

The point remains though if you were to turn on ESPN NFL LIVE show for example and host says the Carolina Panthers are the 5th ranked defense in the NFL. They are implying that the Carolina Panthers give up the 5th least about of yards out of the 32 teams, there is no other metric that they are measuring that by. 

And no yards are not the end all be all way to determine how well a defense is playing, but I wasn't implying that to begin with.

Again, per actual facts.  When we have won....they have not been teams carried by an offense. 

And as told you, if you don’t like basic NFL rankings go check out DVOA.  Are more in-depth look that tells the same story

Cam has carried the offense.  Not the team.  Cam has always needed the D to win.  Just a fact.  There is no Drew Brees type season where the offense carried the team

I just turned fox sports yesterday and they mentioned NE having the number 1 defense and not once did they bring up yards. They did bring up point per game though.
