To be fair to him, cmc did not look like an Alvin, Gurley, Zeke type back early on. He has VASTLY improved his strength and ability to break tackles. I totally get where KK was coming from, but a lot of us thought he would get there with NFL strength training.

Sure, thats fair. Did you ever compare CMC to UDFA Danny Woodhead as being more like him than Alvin Kamara?

Danny woodhead was an absolute beast at one time though. I can definitely see the comparisons as well as to Darren sproles. CMC got absolutely jacked and maybe even faster this past offseason.

I had my doubts about him becoming an every down back but still believed he was worth a first because he brought a lot of dynamic things to this offense. It was a serious issue with him going down so easily his first year.

Ok yea I guess it’s fair to say he wasn’t a top 3 or 5 back at the time. But then to put him in with Woodhead, Fozzy and whoever else was very short-sided and most likely agenda based. Quite possibly he is one of those guys who hated anything DG did or perhaps just as likely had no idea what he was talking about.

Fozzy was a bad comparison. But when I think of woodhead, I think of him with the patriots. That was an apt comparison his rookie year.

Yeah, I am not thinking the Woodhead and Fozzy comparison when CMC was looking like a stud last year was meant as a compliment.

I don’t remember when he made the comparison but I stand by him being a woodhead type player his rookie year and possibly some of his second season. But he started trucking linebackers and breaking tackles his second season. This year he’s the best 3 down back in the league for sure.

There is no point in time where Woodhead and CMC was anything but a foolish comparison.  We just didn’t use CMC enough as a rookie.

This is spot on.

I have never been one to make fun of Cam's clothing at all. I always have stuck up for him. He should dress how he wants to dress.

However, fans like it when players don't take themselves too seriously. Fitz doing a presser wearing another guys outfit that clearly wasn't his style.  Or Minshew with a ridiculous porn mustache and headband that is obviously for comedic effect.  Josh Norman in that wrestling mask after games was amazing.  Portis was great at it.

Tons of fans make fun of Russel Wilson dressing like a middle aged dad or Matt Ryan looking like a walking tampon.

Cam is interested in cutting edge high fashion. Football fans typically hate cutting edge high fashion.

Nobody ever sent in an angry letter because Russell Wilson or Matt Ryan showed too much emotion on the football field celebrating.

Yeah that lady was clearly racist.

What does that have to do with my post?

You don't think a similar mindset eventually seeps in with the fashion stuff?

Is it because he's wearing a scarf or is it because he's a black quarterback wearing a scarf?

Let's not pretend like there haven't been underlying issues and walls that have had to be broken with the QB position specifically in relation to being a black quarterback in the NFL.

Igo you seem to show more concern for how our white running back is perceived by 1 troll than the continued obvious hatred hurled at Newton by racists, or "knuckleheads" as you refer to them for some reason.

I think the huddle has run it's course for me.
