Man, Jones was the truth.

He seemed to always get good yardage on his returns, and you didn’t really have to worry about ball security.

God dam if Jones wasnt the best slowest returner in nfl history. I know he could be no better than 4.83 guy, but he always got positive yards and my o-ring didnt quiver when he caught the ball. It was great watching him make a cut or go in a direction, was always right!  Jones in slow motion gaining yards, it was like art in motion.

I think we're going with Brandon Zylstra at PR and bring up DeAndrew White from practice squad.

^^^^This.  Zylstra and Ray-Ray were signed at the same time as punt return options.  The team gave Ray-ray the first crack at it because of his speed and had Zylstra mainly inactive.  While Zylstra is not a burner, he has reliable hands.  What we gave up in speed, we can at least be nearly assured of in ball security.  Yes, Zylstra returned punts for the Vikings.  While not a 4.3 guy, he's not pedestrian either.

Feel bad for him it’s unfortunate but that’s how this business goes. People have been cut for less.

Some guys I see are free agents with good return abilities.

RB Corey Grant is one of the fastest dudes in football who was an excellent returner for Auburn

LMAO I just saw Kelvin Benjamin is a FA

WR Ryan Davis is another good punt returner with decent speed and a solid slot receiver just undersized

Dez Bryant and Brandon LaFell are free agents

Mike Wallace and Derrius Heyward are speedy

There’s a lot of old big name receivers sitting around that could be worth as much as a roster spot as Ray Ray.

Captain is a FA lol

I’ll take ball security and good vision over speed and athletic ability .

People keep bringing up Mark Jones.  That was him.  He could field punts smartly and safely....and when he returned kicks he had good vision of where to go.
