The 7 QBs in NFL history to win their first 5 starts

Ben Roethlisberger won his first 15 regular season games.

Daunte Culpepper 7

Jimmy Garoppolo 7

Patrick Mahomes 6

Kurt Warner 6

Kyle Allen 5

Marc Bulger 5

On that list is a Hall of Famer (Warner), another one is definitely going (Roethlisberger), another one has the ability to get there if he keeps playing the way he is at 24 for the next decade (Mahomes), one made 3 Pro Bowls until Chris Gamble made his knee explode and ruined his career (Culpepper), one made 2 Pro Bowls (Bulger), and one has definitely fallen back to Earth but is still an entrenched starter that is quarterbacking a 5-0 team (Garoppolo). No career backups on this list.

Do you think this points to Kyle Allen having a long career as a starter here or elsewhere or do you think this is all just a big coincidence that doesn't signify anything?

It seems likely to me Allen is more than a mediocre career backup, but we still have a very small sample size where he hasn't been asked to do a ton.  But I am very excited to see how he develops for us.  Perhaps Allen can be the future, but too early to say.

Cam Newton is still better right now when healthy, and he is our "present."

I think with Allen only being 23, if he had a full off season to actually train and get full time reps as a starter, he could definitely be a franchise QB.

You have to understand that he hasn’t even had that luxury yet. Combine a full off season of full time training as a starter plus the experience and learning trial by far for this season, I think he could have a really really good season next year

I believe so too.  He seems extra cool out there and unflappable.  Time will tell I guess.
