Absent is the definition as to what a "healthy" Cam, whose body has been ravaged by injury, even looks like or what it is capable of now.  Which is actually the most important variable in all this, and the one that no one addresses when pointed to.

How do we know his body is ravaged by anything? That's what you people dont understand. The shoulder and the foot are two completely separate things. The shoulder last season showed his arm strength was shot. But earlier in this season the arm strength didnt seem to be a problem as he threw the ball far enough to make all the throws.

That said the foot was a random freak accident could happen to anyone. You cant build muscles to protect from a foot injury from some 300 pound guy falling on it. All of our foots probably have the same level of durability. With that said how do we know " his body is falling apart and the sky is falling". You really cant say he is any more injury prone than he always has been.

Just a coincidence, i'm sure, that he's sustaining all these injuries in rapid succession after essentially 7 seasons of not being sidelined for such little aggravations.

Big facts. QB wise, I think we are in the best possible spot for any team in the NFL. Go Panthers.

Just playing Devil's advocate here, but Bridgewater has strung together 4 wins in his 4 starts also. Since we have more data on him being a proven QB, one could argue that the Taint's are in a better spot. That being said and considering that I read hundreds of comments (and posted a few) prior to week 3 saying that our season was a total lost if Cam got injured, I'm happier than a fat guy at a buffet with our situation!

It's fair to ask the question: When's the last time we were able to confidently say that Newton was fully healthy?

Feels like it's been at least a few years. Maybe 2016?

(I'm not counting the team pronouncements that he was healthy when it was obvious to anybody watching that he wasn't)

Never give the taints credit!

In all seriousness though they are in a great spot as well...just I hate them so I consider us in a better spot. Also for me a 100% Cam is better than a 100% Brees.
