I laugh at you. No one is hyping Allen. We stating facts. Have you noticed the team gas lost when Allen starts? Paint that however you want.

I'm sorry you don't like the truth, and live in denial.

Reality is here when you're ready to live in it again.

Reality is, as long as the Panthers are winning with Allen this season, Cam won't see the field. That doesn't mean Cam is gone.

That doesn't mean the road gets any easier either. For once Cam will have to earn his spot and work on his game. Good things will happen because Newton thrives in that environment.

Typical story from the Cam nut huggers....

We win games when Cam is qb....all because of Cam

We lose games when Cam is what....everyone’s fault but Cam

We win games when Cam is not qb....we won because of everyone except for who was playing qb

Cam was a weapon when he was a force in the run game....I am not sure even a healthy 30 yo Cam can or is willing to give up his body in that same way.  Take away him as a threat in the run game and Cam is mediocre at best qb.

Thats what the huggers can't except. Allen is just simply a better game manager. Cam will never be that and isn't the bulldozer he once was.

Remove the Panthers from all teams played, you have a hobbled Cam going 0 for 2 against a Rams and Bucs record of 3 - 6

The same for Allen, and you are 4 and 0 against ARI, HOU, JAX and TB with a collective record of 9 - 9 - 1

If you want to include personnel in that discussion, Cam was in with Williams in for LT.  Allen has been in with the team missing Short and Jackson and a shuffled OLine throughout.

If you want to go back to all of 2018, we can talk those numbers and personnel as well.

I we can't resurrect Cam from 2015, I want Allen in there instead.  I don't care who we're playing.  Do I think Allen in his current form gets us to the playoffs?  We'd have to have monster years continuing with our defense and running attack with the Saints (2x), 49ers, Packers and Seahawks coming up on our schedule.  Even then, the best I see us going is 1 win before an exit.

If Allen improves, then who knows?  The coming weeks will be telling.

Allen also played a game with Williams at LT. That's a false equivalency.

I hate to throw facts into the debate but in the 4 games Allen where has been QB this season, the majority of pundits picked Carolina to win in only one, the Jaguars game. The other 3 games had the majority picking the other team.

And for the Cardinals game, NO ONE picked us to win that one. NO ONE.

So, according to pundits, for the most part Kyle Allen has been outstanding.

I just want to win.

Carolina record is 4-2 with opponent win % of .516.

Only 2 teams have at least a 4-2 record and a opponent win % better than that.

Green Bay .533

Kansas City .544

Everyone one else has an opponent worst winning % than us with at least 4 wins.  New England is .380, so is Buffalo.  So  if you are to poo all over us for who we played poo over ever one else too.

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
