Bucs DC said Kyle Allen presented more of a challenge than Cam

Probably. Tampa is not a good team. That should have been a home victory.

Just take the first play from this weeks game, and insert into the first Tampa game, and it would have been most likely.

That or just insert this depleted Tampa Bay offensive line into the first game, and it's no contest.

9 years in the league. 59% career completion percentage. Passer rating of 86. That’s the definition of average.

Cam has been playing for 9 years. He’s had some great games. World beater type games.

But he has also been incredibly inconsistent.

I don’t know if this Allen kid is the long term answer, but prime Cam is long gone and other teams know it and will exploit it.

I mean I can rewind back to 2016 and remind everyone why completion percentage and passer rating is very misconstrued in the context of receiver and playcalling quality (aka Mike Shula supported a vertical deep offense where Cam was forced to make low percentage throws in tight windows to bad receivers) in affecting his completion percentage if need be.

And given his MVP pace in terms of completion percentage beginning 2018 when he had good receivers + good playcalling, I think many here are really forgetting how recent Cam has been good.

I mean we can look at that and recognize in 2017 when the Lions took away his threat to run he threw for 355 yards and beat them with his arm.

He's plenty a good pocket QB. We saw plenty of that on his 6-2 run when he was healthy. Got plenty of examples of his ability in the pocket if need be.

I guess you missed the last play of the 2018 matchup with the Lions. Lol, it's funny when people have to bring up highlights from two years ago to support a point about someone not being too injury prone.

Is it that difficult for this fanbase to be happy with Allen without microanalyzing every detail of his game as a means to diminish Newton?

Clearly this ugliness starts at the top around the huddle.

I don't see it the way you just painted it.

Sorry that the truth hurts.

I dont believe for a second that any DC would rather face Kyle Allen or a Healthy Cam. Bowles is just adding to a fire in hopes the Panthers do something dumb like bench a healthy Newton and the "Fans" on this board eat it up.

Do you honestly believe that? Really?

Yeah, let's not discuss anything about QB play or what opposing coaches say until Cam returns.

If you find it ugly, you honestly are so emotionally attached to one player I worry of you will ever enjoy football again after he isn't here

You’ve gotten to be a Trump level drama starter

That 99 yard drive was the biggest drive of the game. Allen was 5 for 5. If we stall there the Bucs have momentum and field position. Allen play has as much to do with this win streak as anyone else.

He was 5 for 5

7 rushes and had a 15 yard penalty

He was good on that drive.  1 of the pass he completed to Olsen was waay out in fr9nt and was a nice play on Olsen's part. Wouldve gone for a big gain had he hit him in the money
