CMC still had more carries than Allen completed passes and the D forced 7 turnovers

Allen didnt do anything to Win that game  he just held onto the lead

Um, go rewatch the 99 yard drive. That was a HUGE game changer. And that was Kyle making plays.

you're going to say cam wouldn't have done any better. that's so obviously where this is headed with a matchup against the 49ers looming

If Cam plays in San Fran and lights it up I'll be the first to celebrate his glorious return.

Only when you factor in Cams running. Take that out and he is below average.

I think it’s fair to say his running days are basically over. He’s lost weight, he’s more injury prone, etc. If the run threat is gone, what are we left with? Is that worth 30 mil?

I mean we can look at that and recognize in 2017 when the Lions took away his threat to run he threw for 355 yards and beat them with his arm.

He's plenty a good pocket QB. We saw plenty of that on his 6-2 run when he was healthy. Got plenty of examples of his ability in the pocket if need be.

You are right

No more posting coach's comments about the game until they are about Cam and positive.

You know that's not what I said.

The issue is the content in this place is already at an absolute bare minimum 80% Cam vs Allen circular arguments rehashed in just about every other thread created at any given time.

Is there not anything else we can discuss pertaining to the fact that our favorite football team is on a 5-0 run? There's no such thing as being thankful we've backed our way into not only Cam Newton, but Kyle Allen as well? This after watching guys like Jimmy Clausen and David Carr attempt to play quarterback.

Apparently for some, winning can only be celebrated if the right people are playing.

The rest of us don't give a sh-t if Natrell Jamerson starts at quarterback as long as we win.

Since then the should that arm is attached to has had two surgeries.

Cam definitely can be a great pocket passer with a healthy arm. I remain cautiously optimistic that he can be again. Until then, I have zero issue throwing full support behind Allen.

I question that logic about Cam going vegan. What was he thinking, the thing that makes him good is his size and running and he tries to lose all his weight? When I saw him at camp this year all I could think is he is not playing 16 games this year... I was correct.

9 years in the league. 59% career completion percentage. Passer rating of 86. That’s the definition of average.

Cam has been playing for 9 years. He’s had some great games. World beater type games.

But he has also been incredibly inconsistent.

I don’t know if this Allen kid is the long term answer, but prime Cam is long gone and other teams know it and will exploit it.

This place has always been and always will be a whole lot about the current QB. Delhomme, Weinke, Moore, Clausen, Carr, Cam. It has always been that way. That is football.

That 99 yard drive was the biggest drive of the game. Allen was 5 for 5. If we stall there the Bucs have momentum and field position. Allen play has as much to do with this win streak as anyone else.
