Cam should start vs SF and thoughts on Kyle Allen

We have no idea if he'll be healthy by then or not. He shouldn't play until he's healthy. Allen playing well should take the pressure off of feeling the need to force him back.

Allen is setting records as a starter, how can anyone define his ceiling?   Besides I’m not sure Cam will be “100% healthy” in time for SF.

Allen fumbles way too often and should have been picked off quite a few times. Extremely lucky to not have an interception yet. CMC and the defense is carrying this time right now. Not Allen. I don't believe Allen is the type that can put an entire team on his back and carry them if he has too. A 100% healthy Cam is a once in a generation talent and it's crazy how quickly people forget that. Cam won games with no wide receivers or offensive line and barely a run game. We have to give Cam a chance to show us that he can play like that again. I have no doubt that he can if his foot is healed

Why would you start an injured QB against one of the better defenses? Cam can't even travel with the team right now much less start in two weeks.

If a healthy Cam will be SUPER rusty.  Makes more sense to let him comeback vs a bad Titan team.  He can shake the rust off and we still win.

As for Allen I don’t think he a franchise QB and I think it will be incredibly hard to reach much less win a SB with his limited talent. He reminds me of Trubisky last season when the bears went 12-4 or Keenum in 2017 when the Vikings went 13-3, fans will buy into them cause they are winning and not getting in the way of the team. But when push comes to shove and they are asked to carry the team that’s where they fail.

Cam wasn’t winning... once Kyle started we started winning like what. You could argue he ignited and at least partially led the entire winning streak.

Grier could of won 3/4 of the games.

No panthers QB has ever lost when we rush more than 260 yards

No panthers QB has ever lost when the defenses forces 6 turnovers 

And we have a over .900 win percentage when the defenses holds a team to 10 points or under

Allen got all the circumstances 3 weeks in a row

    If you are going to let a healthy Cam start. Does it matter what team he starts against? You absolutely have to let the big dog eat.

Yeah. It's not like you can just tell a guy "Hey, you're starting this week. Make sure to be healthy"

    I may agree that Kyle is riding the perfect storm of events right now.

 

     I am quite positive that you have no clue on whether those numbers are actually true or not.

Rust shouldn’t be a factor this far into Cam’s career. And the niners are the perfect measuring stick for Cam. Also beating a bad team proves nothing

You watched the preseason, right?

Regardless, it's not so much rust as it is health. Rivera can't just go tell Newton, "I need you to start next week so make sure that lisfranc thing is healed up by then."

If Allen Started the whole season we could be undefeated right now. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and I would rather know that we can continue to win games while resting Cam to full health.
