You really hanging your hat on a stat that paints Cam as mediocre at best? Is your argument that Allen sucks ass but Newton is only slightly below average? If so, you’re doing great!

Is someone here arguing Cam is a top QB as of right this moment? Last I checked he's still attached to his recent 0-8 record. Do you not remember those discussions last summer? Beyond that we haven't seen him throw a pass in real practice in months. He still has to prove it the same as anyone else, that and if he can stay healthy.

But keep acting like you didn't quote me just to get even because I hurt your feelings however many months ago. I'm sorry boo boo.

Are you claiming someone else is butthurt when you constantly dig through years of posts to pull receipts on people? LOL. You hold grudges for literal years, bro.

Btw I’m not talking about ”as of this moment”...I’m talking about the entirety of his career. He’s routinely rated middle-of-the-pack or worse in QBR.

Who gives a fug about QBR? It's a useless statistic.

Agreed, but that guy I was responding to who was spamming post after post after post about QBR seems to care a lot about it.

Kyle Allen was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league by the end of the 2019 season and directly lost us games. If you want to argue that fact you know where to find me.

And ppl use the excuse he was a rookie.

Even then it would still be considered a bad season and you would be looking to draft or signed another QB...

You spent three consecutive posts proudly flaunting your dumb QBR stat which also happens to routinely paint Cam as mediocre to subpar year after year. Let’s look at Cam’s most recent healthy seasons:

In 2017, Cam’s QBR was beneath that of Jameis Winston, Blake Bortles, Marcus Mariota, and Josh McCown.

I’m 2016, his QBR superiors included Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, and Colin Kaepernick...that’s a big yikes.

Even in his 2015 MVP season, his QBR wasn’t even Top 10...and was sandwiched between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jay Cutler lol.

See how dumb that makes you sound to be hitching your wagon to that metric? Yes, Kyle Allen sucked...but you clearly have no idea how to actually formulate that argument. You should probably just stick to your usual emotional takes and leave the statistics to people who are better equipped to apply them.

Cam is on his way out of Panthers land in all likelihood. I don't know why you keep dragging him into it like I'm going to argue with you that he is obviously not an elite quarterback right now. He isn't.

You don't care about QBR. You couldn't make it more obvious that you are just mad about a past argument. Cam is on his way out the door, and Allen and Grier are not the answer whatsoever. That's life. Suck it up buttercup. Have a good day.

Once again, a few QBs with worse records as rookies than Allen:

Payton Manning

John Elway

Terry Bradshaw (38% completions, 6 TDs, 23 Int)

They all had bad OLs, porous defenses, and were criticized brutally by their fans.

So if you pretend to know everything, it is a sign that you know nothing.  Stop acting like experts.  If you put Tom Brady in this situation, he would have a bad season.

All of three were first Round picks-2 first overall picks.  And they sucked in similar situations.   All three have yellow blazers.

I'm trying to be kind when I say this.

QBR is not a great stat by any means, but we don't need stats to see that Allen, while a fine backup, did not make a strong case to be a starter (to put it lightly :P ).  So he'll likely get a chance in camp to establish himself once more as a backup, and who knows what a new coaching staff will do for a young QB with relatively little experience.  Probably not much, but at least he should be dirt cheap, and I doubt Rhule goes into the season without some serious changes at QB.

QBR suggests Cam has never been an elite quarterback throughout his entire career...do you agree? I’m not sure why you keep pivoting to “right now” when I clearly posted his stats from 2015-2017.

What past argument am I mad about? I said Kyle Allen is not good...I agree our QB answer is not on the roster. You’re the one who bumped this thread cause you’re still so mad about people praising Kyle Allen in the past lol. You projecting or something?

It was impressive that Allen lasted that long behind that O Line, because Grier lasted 1.5 games.
