His contract may look a lot like Teddy B’s next contract so let’s not get to ahead of ourselves we have a lot more football to play wether he makes himself millions more by playing good oh f’n well that’s how these stories go. But he definitely has to be tested more and continue to ascend at his craft before you get offered a contract.

Allen is still a damn good backup.  This was going to be a hard game to win under the best of circumstances.

This game absolutely sucks.  It's up to Rivera to ensure this doesn't spiral and we regroup if he wants to keep his job

I could accept losing this game, they're undefeated and playing at home. I cannot accept the team playing so completely unprepared coming off a bye. Rivera has been our HC for years. Losing to a tough opponent off a bye isn't something you should lose your job for. Looking completely unprepared to defend what a team has been doing all year when you had an extra week to get your team ready and you've been a HC the better part of a decade is completely inexcusable. IMO only a complete turnaround and the team looking nothing short of stellar after this game should save his job. This is not good at all, and no that's not just about the L.

Everyone is operating on the assumption that Allen's collapse and the collapse of the defense and the oline are unrelated.  At 4-0 with a 108. QB rating--how did he do that?  The defense was much better then than after they collapsed.  When a young QB falls behind, the defense blitzes like crazy and takes advantage of his inexperience.  OK, now you have a fifth round rookie at LT, and C on roller skates, some turd at LG--guess what happened?  What should have happened.  So while your hindsight is amazing---we still do not know what we have in our QBs because any qb in the NFL would have struggled in these conditions.  Allen could still have an NFL career despite what you think you saw.

I know you need this to feel confident at something, but it is pathetic to scroll back 4 months to find something a poster on a discussion board said that did not pan out.  What kind of insecurity does it take to do that, Red?   What are you hoping to accomplish and for what reason?  This is a board where fans go to discuss their thoughts--nobody here keeps score--except those with mild to severe personality disorders.  Get help.  We are here for you when you get better.
