Cam has played 125 regular season games and has never won 5 straight without throwing a pick. Kyle did that in his first 5 games.

There’s a difference in what I said in Subpar performance and subpar player.

Cam played dismally and far below mediocre in those early games.

Allen played good— I haven’t said different. He’s efficient, doesn’t turn the ball over... like you said, being a good game manager is what a quarterback is supposed to do, right?

hes just not a guy that can play bigger than he is. If the team can’t make the plays he’s not going to save the day.

Do you actually read what you post? Its 53 men doing their job, just fuging win.

When did I say different? There’s no part of anything I said that says “Kyle Allen sucks”

what I said was it has been a team effort and Kyle does have the benefit of playing for a good team. He’s done a good job of doing what is asked of him, and he’s had 99 yard drives—

and who knows, maybe he does take this team to the Super Bowl.

wouldn't that be the story. I would never be so happy to be wrong.

It's a team win, not a notch in Allen's belt. I mean really, we should be undefeated or 5-1 at worst and some of you guys can't just celebrate... you'd rather lose and place blame, am I right?

It’s about facts. Cam was great when healthy, Allen is playing great now. People trying to state otherwise else are reaching. It’s a great problem to have as a Panthers fan.

Its about TEAM, not 1 guy. If so, We're undefeated this year without the great one and winless against two struggling teams... at home. Facts

(i) Healthy Cam was very clutch (this is from a year ago). He had 17 4th quarter comebacks and was higher than Aaron Rodgers with less games played.

Allen is playing great, but let’s not let that take away from how great Cam was for the Panthers when he was healthy...

(i)  Kudos to Cam for the 17 come-from-behind wins.  That said, in order to be fair to A. Rodgers we must acknowledge that the Cam at-the-helm Panther played from behind waaaaaay waaaaaay more than the Packers under Rodgers....A-aron prob only had 1 opportunity vs. every 5 Cam had to come-from-behind.

(ii)  Nobody is taking anything away from Cam, they are simply supporting the guy who is now the starting QB.

As for being "great"...you mentioned A. Rodgers....in his first 8 seasons the Packers had 1 losing season (his rookie year) and otherwise always won 10 or more games except for 2013 when A-aron was hurt in the 10th game (after a 6-3 start)...they still had a winning record and made the playoffs.  To recap, 7 winning seasons in first 8 years...7 playoff appearances....15 playoff games, 9 wins....1 Super Bowl Championship ---- that is great.

3 winning seasons and a 3-4 playoff record in 8 seasons, not so much.  Yeah yeah, I know, nobody ever rushed it like Cam....nobody ever accounted for more of the offense....generational talent....franchise QB....blah blah blah....

....just win baby.

Please read everything I wrote. HEALTHY Cam WAS a great qb. Allen IS playing great. I said it’s a great spot to be in providing Cam can come back healthy. People were disregarding Cam’s past career as a Panther so I posted a link countering it. It’s possible to have two good players on a team that play the same position. Kind of like the Eagles situation when they won the Super Bowl. I hope Allen goes undefeated and takes wins is a Super Bowl. I would be equally happy if healthy Cam comes back and wins us a Super Bowl.

Everyone said today's game would be the litmus test.

All week people said when Cmac cant run Kyle will be exposed and we will be begging for Cam to come back.

What are you talking about? The Buc's had the 32nd rated pass defense, giving up over 300 yards a game until this week where they improved as Allen only managed a little over 200 even with 7 turnovers. The Panthers actually punted 7 times, LOL!

They are, but fumbles is a stat that can be hidden by those only looking at "passing" statistics.

Given that fumbles result in a turnover about half the time while picks result in a turnover 100% of the time,  I disagree completely and have a hard time understanding why anyone would take this view. The loss of possession is the negative here. Why would anyone say that the mistake that results in this negative about half the time is worse than the one that always does?

Allen has been really dam good, but people are still short minded and forget Cam.  People forget Cam in this same system under Norv.  He was having a Better season last year to start (even better than his MVP season) prior to the injury.

Allen has been great and this is by no means a bash on him or a Cam homer thread

But

- This OL has been the best in about 2 seasons. Its not the Daryl Williams or Kalil at LT that has gotten Cam Killed the last 2 seasons.

- We DO have a top 5 D

- We DO have a RB who the first one to be in MVP conversations since LT how long ago.

I still think Cam takes the job back after the SF game.  IMO Allen struggles vs SF, then they bring back Cam the next week at home vs Tenn
