What if that doesn't happen this season? What if the chips are never down? Then what will your reasons be for not thinking Allen is a starting QB? I just don't understand this line of thought.  "I want to see" people amaze me. Afraid of commitment or what?

That 0-9 thing without context is just a weird dig. Beyond the injury alone that run began with our defense giving up 40+ points in primetime the very next play immediately after our offense through a heavy dose of CMC had just scored on a nice drive. That team previously was 6-1. The wheels fell off for a number of reasons, Cam included, but it's revisionist history to suggest those losses weren't without multiple bad team failures from top to bottom.

Right now this roster is frankly night and day from last fall.

Hey, if the chips are never down and we go on the win a Super Bowl, we will all be dancing in the streets.

Allen is a 23 year old 2nd year player.  Cam has a LOT of big game experience and a TON of comeback wins.  When the chips have come down, Cam has produced.  Allen has not.  I'm thrilled if Allen leads us to a 14-2 record, we trounce every team on the way to hoisting the Lombari Trophy.  But as a fan of the NFL, we know that never happens. 

So yes, I do want to see what Allen does when the chips are down.  Winning in the NFL is hard.  It just so happens we do have a QB on the roster who has played and won with adversity.  I hope Allen continues to play wonderfully, but the reality of the NFL is that it doesn't always happen that way.

He looked great today. Last couple weeks had me skeptical. It will be interesting to see how he does against the Niners. He really hasn’t been fully unleashed by Norv yet either. If he proves to be a solid starting qb and we get Cam healthy, we should be able to flip one for some nice draft picks!
