I don't think we can bench Kyle Allen...

I feel like I didn't watch the same game.

We caused 7 turnovers.  7.

And it was only an 11 point game that was still fairly close at the end.

We punted the ball 7 times.  Our offense was anemic.  Our defense once again bailed us out, because Allen wasn't able to get the offense going.  Again.

"Bruh, the run game was dead and I didn't fumble or TO the ball, what else you want when WOs had the drops today but I tried to cheer up Wright?"

I am happy that Kyle Allen is playing as well as he did.  But lets not pretend he is setting anything on fire.

We have to twist the facts and ignore major aspects of the game to make him look good.

Darin Gantt had a pretty good explanation of where you draw the line between a backup and a starter.

Per Gantt, a backup is a guy you just hope won't lose the game. A starter is a guy you believe can win it.

As to Allen, Greg Olsen made the statement this week that he's helping them win games. I'd say Olsen seems to consider him worthy of being called a starter.

Again, still want to see how it plays out when we face a more complete team, but there's been a lot of good so far.

And what may be the most important factor of all, Allen has improved. It's probably fair to say he hasn't hit his ceiling yet.

Basically, stay tuned.

Houston just beat KC at their home and we beat Houston at their home.

Our D is deadly.

CMC will not face many TB defenses.

KA was efficinet, is now minimizing his TOs.

But you are right, if we win against the 49ers, then I will get excited.

Until then, back to shitposting for fun for me.

Tampa Bay had over 400 yards of offense.  We had 268.

I don't care about his QBR if he isn't actually moving the ball and scoring TDs.

i think it was hard for you to see with all that baby goat goo in your eyes

Or try to make him look bad

I am not trying to make him look bad.  If adding in all the facts to a game, and not ignoring certain aspects is "trying to make him look bad", then I guess you can say I am guilty.  But I've never been good at the "stick my head in the sand" approach.

He did well today to not lose the game.  But when you factor in we caused 7 takeaways, while barely ever doing anything with them..despite the amazing field position.  Its something that should be noted.  And its a serious flaw in our game today.

It’s not even a controversy.

you play Allen, we are winning.

if Allen goes in the tank against the 49ers, Titans or Packers, then if Cam is healthy then maybe.

its all on cam Newton’s health and if the team keeps winning with Allen.

I bench him and it's not that hard of a discussion. You HAVE to see what a healthy Cam looks like.. or what you cut him let him ealk.. the all-time leading mvp qb of the carolina franchise for an undrafted guy who has won 4 games with the defense and McCaffrey playing out if their mind?

I could be starting and just not lose these games.. Its not like Cam is super turnover prone.. he doesnt throw a lot of ints when healthy. He could manage these wins just as easily as kyle has.. the defense is getting 6-7 sacks and 2 interceptions in the past few games.

Kyle has performed great.. dont get me wrong. But can he win shootouts with the chiefs? Pats or eagles? Because that could be the defense between looking good till you get to the playoffs and a first round exit.  I'm sorry but a healthy cam is on another level than I wont lose the game for you kyle.. just cant.

Coaches aren’t doing Cam any favors if they bench Allen and play Cam. This is a recipe for disaster. Better to let Allen struggle (if this ever happens) and let Cam come in and save the day.

If I’m Cam, I put that boot back on and let the Allen experiment play out. I’m not sure Cam’s ego can handle not playing if he’s healthy.
