I don't think we can bench Kyle Allen...

Look I'm not saying Allen is Mahomes, Rodgers or even Brees, but is he good enough to get us where we want to go?  I'm starting to lean heavily to yes!

I need more of a push.

He's good enough to be a starting quarterback. That's all I know at the moment.

We won't know until we have a game where our D struggles, the other team is containing CMC and Allen has to put us on his back.

We can't screw around getting in trouble in the standings, period. Allowing Cam to step in out of loyalty or because of his contract situation, very risky.

Cam can be goal line and short yardage specialist.

Okay that is cold, and I am not serious, but that is the only place he shows an obvious superiority, that comes to mind. That and arm strength if he hasn't lost it.

I know what I would do, while acknowledging that being on the outside means I don't have enough information. Having said that, I'd ride with Allen and make Cam win the job back. He has never had any competition to start in the NFL, maybe that would be good for his game.

The Bucs offense gave us a loooooot of help today.

I want to see what happens when we play a more complete team.

And we can thank Ray-Ray for what little momentum they got too.  We were skunking them up to the point Tiger-boy fumbled the ball.   That killed our momentum for a while.   We put up 37 points with two missed FGs,; with the opportunity to put up over 40 points.  I would say that's pretty effective.

To me the big question is how close can the current version of Cam be to what he was at his best, because Allen isn't even close to what Cam was at his best.

I really do wish people would stop using that phrase as if it were a bad thing.

Managing a game effectively is a big part of what every quarterback does.

Kyles playing like a legit starter out there. It’s back handed to keep calling the dude a game manager. Gotta give respect where it’s due.

That doesn’t mean Cam isn’t better when healthy. We just might happen to have two good QBs on this roster.

LG put it pretty well.

As to me, I'm extremely careful :)

It's kind of a tough comparison to make though because they are two very different styles of quarterback.

You're never going to see Allen run like Newton, but on the flipside Newton rarely hits guys in stride like Allen does.

Fair enough.  I guess being cautious isn't the worst thing in the world.

Being over 50 helps :)

I've mentioned before that people like rushing to judgment; sometimes just because they have no patience, other times because they want to be able to say "See? I called it!"

Old people like me prefer to take it slow.

All I know is that rarely if ever has one player accounted for as much of a percentage of his team's offense as Cam did at his best. I would LOVE to be able to see that version of Cam on the field with CMC. I just hope we actually can.
