I don't think we can bench Kyle Allen...

I love how certain fans can’t wait for a hobbled 40 yo Brees to come back to replace a much younger Teddy B while he on a win streak, but with a 30 yo Cam certain fans can’t wait to watch him get replaced by a undrafted QB with a severely limited skill set.

NFL fans truly are a special bunch

The Panthers offense is playing better than it has with cam at QB since the Steelers game last year.

The saints offense is not.

This isn't difficult.

Cam was in the MVP discussion last year, we were 6-2 before Pittsburgh deliberately killed his shoulder in that same "system". He placed with a fractured foot this season.

I know, I’m just stating what Steve Smith said on NFL Network pregame today.

Let's NFL experts and coaches say Allen distributes the ball around better.

Bowels said he's harder to prepare for because he isn't a one trick pony.

Kyle is going to take what you give him and beat you with it. If that's Cmac running fine we win. If it's KA throwing fine we win.

Seems pretty simple to me.

I think Norv has more to do with that than Allen

We don't know if Cam can do that either.

Newton used to be able to, but we don't know if he still can.

Allen might be able to but he hasn't been tested in that way yet.

(And to be fair even when he is, one game won't define him for good or bad anymore than it did Newton when he was just starting)

Ultimately, we don't know whether either of them can do it. The difference is just why we don't know.

Damn.  A rational person.  Well said.  I’m pulling for both Cam and Kyle this season.

make cam win the job back????????

this fanbase is deranged beyond repair

Absolutely. But by that I mean he has to go into practice. prove he is capable of making the throws, going through his reads, running when necessary, all the things hes going to be asked to do as a starter. He has to do those things to "win" his job back.

If he cant, then he shouldn't be starting anyway.

Playing better against teams who picked top 5 in the draft last year only says so much. Only put up 16 against the texans who are a good team.

just looking at today's performance and i feel like i could poo my pants. 20 completions. over 250 yards. jesus christ. when's the last time we had a qb who put up performances like that? forget 2015 those are prime Delhomme numbers. i'm going to poo my pants.

if you're even entertaining the idea of Cam playing another snap in the NFL you deserve for someone to poo in your pants.

I read this post and was shocked to see it was rodeo.

First off, I am a Cam supporter and I will always be a Cam fan! Cam has carried this franchise for the last 8 years. That being said, when I heard the Coaching staff stated they picked Kyle Allen because he lit the first team defense up on the “Scout Team”, I knew this guy was for real. I do not know what Kyle Allen’s contract is but I can guarantee there are many teams out there that would love to have his services. It will be a problem moving forward. How much would Cam or Kyle Allen command when their contracts are up? It’s a good problem but a problem none the less. The more successful Kyle Allen is, the more he will want and deserve on the next contract.

The problem I have is Cam moving on and we're being stuck with Ron. I get everybody riding high, but I don't see Ron leading us to a SB victory with Cam or with Allen... sorry

I din't read every post but if Allen played every game like in Arizona, then yes leave him in. But a healthy Cam gives us another major weapon with experience for the playoffs. Gotta give him a shot. Now if it's with 2 or 3 games left in the season, then you might have to stay with Allen if he's still winning most games and not "losing"games.

Is good Cam better then good Allen? Sure. But bad Cam shows up way more then bad Allen.
