So Rivera is fired a long time ago since the better players always come in after injuries....meaning they were on the bench in the first place. That's been a well known trend around here. Ron is terrible with a lead, leaves star players in so they can get injured unnecessarily as well. Other than that he's a decent coach.

Like it or not there is almost certainly a QB controversy brewing.  It’s a good problem to have but a problem none the less.  And truthfully  Kyle Allen has been a perfect tonic for what this team needed. And in the same breath, Cam’s injuries and sustained poor play offered a window for QB controversy. 
 

I will say this as I believe it to be a reality ....

once Cam returns and if Rivera inserts him as the starter, fans should embrace it.  But if Cam shows the errant throws and inaccuracy that has plagued him over his career, his leash will be shorter than short.

Allen's play has made me a lot more comfortable with allowing Newton to sit out as long as he needs.

Maybe man. But unfortunately we don’t know. What I am noticing though is that Allen may not have the flash and talent that Cam has but his talent for sustaining drives on 3rd down is what is giving us a chance for success and keeping the defense rested. Not saying he hasn’t displayed faults but he has had a hand in our win streak.
