The reason we lost 9 games was a combo of Cams shoulder and the defense suuuuucked. The defense is good this year and if cam is 100% healthy then he plays.

that is the scenario that was presented. You make it sound like we lost 9 in a row with a healthy Cam.

Actually Cam said he was good to go week one the defense gave up 12 dam points and he couldn’t do enough to win. I’m not gonna hate but if you can’t see clearly it’s hard to understand your logic. If he had a small injury and was 85-90% and couldn’t move the ball accurately when we needed it the most after the BB pick I’d say, he missed three throws in a row if I recall correctly. So stop with the defense sucked the get gased from being on the field in three plays after a pick like vs the rams. But we know they don’t suck they’re actually beastly good and just need a little ball control which we’ve been getting last few games. I’ll let you use the injury excuse for the Tampa game but dang both games did he think he was helping kinda like last year when he trotted out and couldn’t make basic throws but kept coming out to play each week. Just Tell Me When he’s healthy then we’ll see then.

And he was injured those two games. What about this are y’all not getting.

Listen dude, NFL players have been playing with pain and injuries since the beginning of the game. Hell Ronnie Lott once famously had his pinky cut off to finish a game.

Here's the thing if you decide to lace up your cleats and step on that field on Sundays then your performace and play is fair game to be scrutinized, I don't want to hear anything about an injury after the fact. I'm not your personal doctor, fans pay good money for tickets to go see their favorite team be competitive and most importantly win.

If injuries are handicapping you from being competitive eack week as the losses pile up, don't be bewildered, shocked when fans start looking for the next big thing.

That wasn’t the scenario presented. Smitty said even if he was 100% healthy he still rides the bench. That’s dumb.

ive said this time and time again if Cams shoulder is toast and he can’t make the throws deep, we move on from him.

See that’s the thing, he can be 100% healthy and still have a shot shoulder. His shoulder has supposedly been 100% healthy this year and he still hasn’t been able to throw the ball well.

Cam is one of my favorite players to ever lace up for the Panthers, might be my favorite.. But to openly admit that he hid the extent of his injury and as a result wasn't phyisically or even mentally all in the game and seriously put the season in jeopardy after only 2 weeks definitely doesn't sit right with me as fan.

Wish the best for all involve but right now this ship is being manned by the youngster and as long as the Panthers win it should continue to be the Allen show, be mad, be sad about that.

The bottom line is to win games. I noticed that Rivera cringes every time they ask him about cam. I think management wants to move on from Cam.

The question was- if Kyle Allen keeps winning and Cam comes back healthy, do you play Cam? He said no, you play the hot hand.

If Teddy Bridgewater keeps winning and Drew comes back healthy, do you play Drew? He said absolutely, you let Drew come back in.

When asked why, he said "Because Drew Brees is a Hall of Famer"

Agree

I'm conflicted on this.

First, I believe both QBs are heading to the hall. Brees because he's been one of the top three best QBs consistently since he went to the saints and has always been one of the smartest and most dangerous in the game. Can because he brought in a new way QBs are looked at and set a lot of records that QBs will be chasing for years. He was a game changer on many levels.

Brees is on the downside and although he's great at adapting, that team is no longer good just because he's on it, they've actually got a good team that doesn't require the QB to carry the team.

By that same token, the offense around Cam is better than it's been since he's been here and doesn't exclusively depend on him for success.

If Brees can come back, they'll still be scary good. Until that guy had retired, he scares me.

If Cam can come back and play at least as well as he did the first few games last year, this offense will be a lot more dangerous and explosive than it is now.

The question is, can he play like he did in the first half last year or like he did in training camp? (which was amazing in the potential I saw)

The next question is, is it worth the risk to find out?

I think it is. But he'd only have a game or two to show we aren't taking a step backwards with him.

I think the same should be true for Brees as well. Give both guys a shot to see what they can do, but be willing to pull the plug and go back to the ones with the momentum and hope you haven't lost it or that it can be regained quickly.
