Just noticed this on wiki. Hardly earth shattering but it is interesting given how well some of the linebackers are playing.

Not really surprising IMO. Most of the great players don't make the best coaches and it is usually the average players that make the best coaches.

Yeah he was hired this offseason and I remember it being discussed here when we took Burns because some morons compared them because of their size.

Coaching ability and playing ability are definitely two different things.  If Everette Brown is part of the reason our LB's are playing so well this season, kudos to him and to the team for hiring him.

There were people arguing for a month that Burns would be a bust because he went to the same school as Brown. That's what we are dealing with here....lol

I didn't think that it was a good idea initially, but I thought the same about Case Blackburn as ST Coordinator. They both seem to be working out well so far...

At least Blackburn was actually very good as a player, unlike Brown... But yeah they both seem to be working well either way.

Some guys suck as players but are good as coaches and definitely Visa versa.  John elway is a hall of fame QB, but the guy knows dick about running a team.
