I wouldn't say that.   Cam and Allen aren't' comparable.  Can't really justify the same microscope being used on Allen just because Cam gets it. 

Cam - 124 starts.  #1 pick.  Veteran.  Highest paid player.  Captain.  Former MVP, Super Bowl QB and franchise QB. 

Allen - 4 starts.  Undrafted.   Inexperienced backup being just that in real time.

I mean I have been a Cam stan before it was acceptable.  I love Cam.  Cam rightfully deserves a microscope that simply Allen doesn't.

I've seen even Thomas Davis and Greg Olsen attacked by fans here. Guys being under the microscope is part of the job. Doesn't matter if you've got 4 starts or 40. It's going to happen whether it's fair or not. Doesn't mean we can't be honest with ourselves when someone is clearly sharing a negative viewpoint fueled by personal feelings. For example, do you see anyone using this as an opportunity to question Allen's football IQ or his dedication to his craft?

Myself I've given Kyle the benefit of the doubt, and will continue to do so. I expect the same for Cam. That's all I was conveying on this matter.

Let's compare #1 overall NFL Draft pick Cam Newton to UDFA Kyle Allen by looking at Cam's first three games last season and Kyle's first three this season. Healthy Cam, healthy Allen, similar offensive supporting cast.


Cam (2018): 64-95 (67.4% completion) 646 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT, 6 sacks, 1 fumble
Kyle (2019): 60-90 (66.7% completion) 674 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 8 sacks, 6 fumbles


Purely throwing the football....similar production.....so if Kyle Allen is as bad as many here claim, Cam is in the same boat....and one of these two is costing us millions.

I have never seen this much of a defense force for Cam Newton as I've been seeing for Kyle Allen on here.

Before, I was accused of being too positive and cherry picking for Cam Newton during his down year on here. Now that Kyle Allen's the starter and people are logical enough to show why he's not a future replacement for Cam Newton full time, it's heresy to say he has concerning faults.

Past couple of years all I've been doing is reposting what I find instead of putting in the effort myself to show my own thoughts in typed format. Seems like I'll continue to do so with this kind of vitriol on the forum.

I think the primary goal of everyone criticizing Allen is in response to the fanbase who came out of the woodworks ready to bash Cam and proclaim Kyle Allen as the future starter forevermore. Just to show why that probably isn't the best idea.

No one has said he's a bad backup. He's perfectly fine doing the role he's meant to be. Just that he isn't going to replace Cam Newton's job until he fixes up some critical errors in his play.

But I'm just a Billy Marshall/Panthersfilm alt. who only stans Cam Newton's jock and 100% biased in my ways. I also clearly hate Kyle Allen and cherry pick biased viewpoints to bring him down since I don't think he's the second coming of Dan Marino.

Hmmmmm really, guy? That's pretty amazing you can type that much less believe it. There was something like a Cam's defense force created as soon as he was drafted on here. It seems like people think they are working for Cam's PR team on here. Newsflash, he doesn't need ya'll's help. If anything, ya'll are doing more damage to his image than anything. He is a grown ass man, doesn't need fanboys calling people racists because some people don't like him or his personality, or not playing up to expectations. And that's another thing, why do his biggest fans have the lowest expectations for him? It is mind-boggling.

But mostly, in this thread, people can clearly see through the dogshit "analysis" of whoever the OP is quoting. He either does not know what he is looking at, or he wants to belittle the guy who is on the field while the team is winning because his hero has lost his last 9 starts. Well, not either, both.

It's not about defending or attacking. It about calling that attempt at film review what it is. Pure garbage. It's like the stuff Saca used to post. I dont blane people for putting in the effort but it's too obvious they are either blatantly biased or they don't have the ability or both.
