https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/5-of-the-greatest-generational-talents-of-all-time

If generational talent means the best player in a generation or 20 years, Cam hasn't played football that long. The article suggests shortening it to 10 years which is roughly the time Cam has been in the league.  So to be a generational talent you have to be at the top of your game for a long time. So has Cam been in the top 5 of his position every year including last year and this? If not he can't technically be a generational talent. Then if we say a generational talent is the best of his generation, would that include Brady? If so then Brady is the generational talent and even Manning pales in comparison. And regardless of surrounding talent, if you can't win at least one Superbowl, can you be at the top of the heap?  Sure you could argue Marino was a phenom and never won a Superbowl but he is the exception.

How about Cam is the best dual threat quarterback in the history of the league. That rings true and is a huge honor. But he isn't a generational talent unless you qualify to a dual threat quarterback. At his position Brady is number 1, he is the generational talent. As much as I dislike him and root for him to retire, I have to begrudgingly give him his due.

What your describing is best player or quarterback of their generation which is a lot more specific. Generational talent is not just a measure of games won and completion percentages. I wouldn't make the arguement for cam in that instance. Generation "talent" is more a measure of potential and athletic ability. People called Todd Gurley a generational talent at RB and Sequon Barkley. Thos guys dont have 5 years under their belts but the term is use on them.

Why? Because they have potential to revolutionize the game.. not saying they will reach said heights not that isn't what talent means. Raw ability is what were looking at. And Jim Harbaugh said it best when Cam was in the discussion of being the number 1 pick, yes hes raw.. but that is plutonium grade material  raw material he has to work with.Screenshot_20191008-230025_Chrome.thumb.jpg.23faa8767a672a42a040390b1d24768e.jpg

So, you think he can come back on the 27th and play against the 49ers?

Best case? Yes. That would be 6 weeks from the last game he played. Is that enough? I hope so, but I have no idea. I want him back. But he needs to be right at 100%. Let's get this right.

its because anyone who isnt a fan of cam is racist obviously

Actually theres alot of internal racism that alot of people don't seem to notice. They see a flamboyant black man playing QB doing superman and dab poses and alot of people hate it because its different from what they are use to seeing. Heck even if you look around the stadium in years past a majority of white people wear Luke or CMC jerserys. They tend to support who they resemble and look like. That's is not to say everyone falls into this category but a majority of them do.

99% they are.

Cam Newton loves football and wants to win more than anyone on the field. He's a generational talent at the QB position, and he plays for the Carolina Panthers.

If you are a fan of the Carolina Panthers football team, yet you take every opportunity to knock the guy for his fashion, not being on the sidelines per doctor's orders, playing injured, his hair, his speech, or whatever else you want to knock him for, then it doesn't leave many other options on the table.

Come on now, hopefully you don't think like that.

Who stands on a plane? What was the context of the quote? Maybe ask that #panthersfilm guy and he could share more of that grainy video, shot from the space station.  Jeez, but you know football...

They weren't saying he'd be standing on the plane. Why have him fly across the ocean for practices and a game where he'd just be standing for a few hours on a foot they don't want him to be standing for berry long on? That's what they were saying.

Cam could have been there if Cam wanted to be there. Crutches, bench, hell even an exercise bike available. Even active players don't stand the entire time.

That said, I really don't care and neither does the team according to the win streak. Would have been cool to see him and delhomme together though.
