Healthy Allen is better than hurt Cam. Even the staunchest Cam homers can see that. There is no debate. 0-2 vs 3-0

I’m wondering if Kyle Allen would’ve been asked to throw the ball 51 times against the bucs. Cam played decent against LA. Cam was obviously injured I’m just curious how we would’ve gone about that game. Think we’re about to find out.

keep coming with that W-L like it means anything for Kyle Allen's performance the past two games.

No they can't, but to be fair the staunchest Cam hater can't see it the other way either

It's kind of funny seeing how much people defend Kyle Allen on here yet are quick to ditch Cam Newton the second things go south on him.

Judging a QB by their W-L record is and always has been dumb.

What about by passer rating?  QBR?  TD/INT ratio?  % throws uncatchable?  Asking for a friend.

It's weird seeing people prefer losing with Cam to winning with Kyle.

I want the Panthers to win. Cam, Kyle, or Will. I don't care. Just win. That is where my loyalty is.

This week would have been a good one for Cam to measure where he's at compared to how he performed against him last time. Allen gets a win in this one and we're actually in a pretty comfortable spot. San Francisco might be a loss regardless so I say we rest him on that one as well; yes it's an NFC loss but not a divisional one and I don't really want Cam going against that DL and looking like trash for all of his Nats (opposite of a Stan) to tear him apart.

Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans would be a perfect debut. Beatable team and there's no way he wouldn't be 100% healthy by 11/03 unless things are worse than we think. That also gives him two games before the Falcons to get back into the groove.

So yes, my money is in the "wait till week 9" boat if I had any say in the matter.

I'm more logical. I acknowledge why a team wins rather than who's at QB.

There are serious concerns to Kyle Allen's game that everyone on here masks their eyes with a dumb W-L record that's not indicative of a QB's performance. He had NextGen's 2nd worst expected completion percentage, only behind Baker Mayfield. Heck, even with PFF he had a 40.0 grade and was their 2nd worst player of the week.

He is a backup. That's his role and I don't blame him for his poor performances bc those are expected. But he is not the reason we are winning, and you're just plain ignorant if you're thinking they are so.

I would be the first person to admit i'm wrong if 2015 Cam comes back and starts putting up multiple 100+ passer ratings.

Will his self appointed internet defense squad admit his time here is over if he continues to put up below average to terrible numbers?

His time is over in favor of who? We rushing to move on to check downs and defensive victories? Fumbles and cmc drives? You guys get some wins with a game manager and think this will get you to a superbowl. Your kidding urself if u think this kind if play beats the saints or Pat's of the world.

Yeah I think after the bye is jumping the gun a bit. I’d say the week we play GB may be more realistic but if it’s cold there that week I’m not sure that’s great for his foot either. It could very well be the following week

I'm fine with that. We have a good backup who has the best RB in the league at his disposal and I want to see Cam healthy as can be and not rushed into service, not after the kluster of this last year. I just don't have any expectations whatsoever on the healing time of his foot and the time it will take to get back into the swing of it all, I can wait.

85 QBR was his worst performance against a damn good defense.

You are overplaying your hand here.

I hope Cam can come back and light it up. I really do. That would be fun. Also, watching the Panthers win with Kyle is just as fun. It doesn't have to be a choice.
