49ers-Browns

Panthers play the 49ers in a few weeks after their bye. So far their running game looks solid, and their defense is pretty good. Garropolo hasn’t done much and he seems a bit inexperienced. I think that could be where the Panthers could have an advantage with their pss rush and Rivera disguising coverages.

The Browns look like an even worse version of the Jaguars. Minshew and Mayfield could be brothers. Their defense is talented but is too aggressive, over pursues and is out of position, and is also very undisciplined. The 49ers opened the game with a very similar looking 83 yard run to the long one McCaffrey broke open on Sunday.

49ers will present a tough test for the Panthers, which might be Cam’s first game back from injury.

49ers are legit. IDK if I'd be comfortable throwing Cam out there against that defense his 1st week back. That defense is straight nasty and their running game will give us problems. LOL @ Falcon fans thinking losing Shanahan wasn't a big deal. Their offense hasn't been the same ever since.

After an off-season of trying to crown the Browns and watching them strut around like they'd arrived despite yet another losing season, the Browns look suspiciously like the Browns. This looks like a team on the verge of an implosion. This might be their version of our Steelers game last year.

Honestly, the SF D isn't very good. They capitalized on some ugly Winston INTs week 1 and played 2 terrible offenses in the Bengals and Steelers (minus Roethlisberger) the previous 2 games.

Baker Mayfield has looked truly awful this season. The Browns lucked out getting the Jets shitshow of a team without Darnold and the Ravens D taking a game off. Browns still will probably finish with a pretty good record, only because their schedule is an absolute joke. Last 9 games: @Broncos, Bills, Steelers, Dolphins, @Steelers, Bengals, @Cards, Ravens, @Bengals. If the Browns finish worse than 9-7, they should be embarrassed.

The AFC North is probably the worst division in football.

I don't much care for Baker, but in his defense, he doesn't stand a prayer behind this OL. It's reminiscent of our Bell/Chandler days. They're terrible.

I was wondering if the 49ers fast start was somewhat of a mirage, but they are balling.

Remind me of the 2003 Panthers right now.

They have yet to play a decent team. The Rams and us will be there first real test. I would love to have their schedule btw man it's pie.

Agree his oline is crap, but he has made a ton of terrible throws also. If it was Cam behind that oline, all the media would be taking a dump on Cam.

    • He's turned into quite a gunslinger
    • Hey guys, remember when we won those meaningless games in 2010 and it cost us the #1 pick and the chance to draft Cam? Oh.... right I get that's more of an extreme example because it got us a HOF caliber QB.  But it's the general concept, you want to win late season games when you have the pieces in place to make a run the next season, we currently are not in that place. Herbert and Sewell are the ones I point to so much, because we literally lost out on 2 franchise different makers by 1 draft slot.  Give us those two players while we still have CMC, Moore, and the rest of the picks we gave up for Bryce, and we'd have been a legit playoff contender the last few years. Draft position matters in the NFL more than any other sport (other than the #1 pick in the NBA in a year with a generational talent).
    • It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
