The forgotten elephant in the room

The blocking concerned me more than Slye did. First one was blocked. Second one was about to be blocked if Slye kicked it straight. XP was his only legit miss. That left side was getting blasted all game. Daryl Williams has no business being around ANYTHING that needs to be blocked. Then you have Calais Campbell tall big ass coming up the middle. I'll be worried if it continues next week, but the Bucs don't have a 6'8 MF coming up the middle to block FGs.

Not really worried. On the kick he missed...would have been blocked if he would have kicked straight. I think since the rush on all the field goals came from the left he had to keep forcing right. I think that messed with him on the PAT.  Another game or two and I'll be concerned.

This. We've stumbled onto two young players that have shown a lot of promise, & we might not even be able to see where they end up, because the crappy pass & ST blocking is going to have them hearing footsteps in their sleep.

Folks, when you have a strong legged kicker, you lose accuracy.  We get the 56 yard FGs, and at times, we will miss the 40 yard kicks.  We don't even need a kickoff team.  He is going to be a career 80-85% kicker.  To do that, you have to miss a few.

A long FG is blockable because you drive the bottom third of the ball.  On a shorter FG, you drive the bottom quarter.  Like the difference between a seven iron and a three iron.   Three irons are lower.
