That's not a valid conclusion at all. Hell, even Belichick doesn't win it every year.

You definitely give guys time to show whether they can do it or not. It's silly not to.

Rivera is in his ninth year. If this year is another unsuccessful season, it's valid to ask just how many more years you're willing to give him.

(If I may change the conversation away from all the Ron-haters), I think we're getting off the intended track that the OP was discussing.

How's this: as of tonight, there are only 7 (SEVEN) teams in the NFL that have better records than the Panthers.

And yet...I'll bet the pundits/experts/blowhards "Rankings" show us as the lowest of all the 3-2 teams.  Just watch.
