No I'm more Cam supporter than Cam critic. I try to be evenhanded and I have no anti Cam agenda, but I have noticed that since Allen has been our qb, both timeouts and play clock have been far better managed. I think the evidence suggests there is something to this notion. This isn't just a today thing, this has been marinating for several weeks now. Keep an eye on it next week and beyond and judge for yourself.

I personally believe this problem is overblown on the Huddle. Yes there are times when the clock gets low. But we also play games where it is not an issue. We play a different game with Cam. Heck, even substitution patterns can affect this. Saying it is mainly a Cam thing is just another lazy way to dis on him.

Also, thanks for the tip on how to watch the games. Not sure why you thought I needed it. But hey, thanks.

Sure those things could be factors and I'd agree that it isn't always an issue when Cam is playing. There is observation bias at work there for sure. I'm just saying that from what I'm seeing it appears things are different with regards to play clock and timeouts when Allen is under center.  If Allen winds up being our qb for an extended period and any issues with timeouts and play clock never materialize,  I think that would minimize the possiblity that other factors like sub patterns were the cause. Hopefully we won't find out. If Cam comes back healthy and wins, I don't care if every play goes down to 2 seconds.

Cam haters are in heaven right now. Every little thing that goes right while Kyle plays will be a Cam weakness.

Y’all really need to get a grip. Allen is nowhere near even close to a 100% Cam right now. With a healthy Cam we aren’t giving the ball to CMC at the goal line so he can throw a pass.

And a healthy Cam is for damn sure throwing for more than 185 yards against that Jags secondary.

Allen right now is a game manager. It’s clear Norv doesn’t want him throwing deep, either because of trust or because the line can’t protect him. Maybe Allen improves and becomes a really good qb but right now he can’t touch a healthy Cam

Healthy Cam, I think he left town.  What did we do on the goalline with Cam against the Bucs?  Wildcat CMC.

LOL, a healthy Cam would not need no stinkin' Wildcat. And if you know that, you know this post is inane drivel.

This is a very succinct statement.  Allen is an adequate backup QB and has proven that even with his flaws he is capable of winning.
Health Cam has weaknesses but he is absolutely a superior QB/football player.

There are scant few reasons not to believe this.

I honestly don’t think Kyle calls audibles or has access to full usage of the offensive playbook, these past few weeks while we’ve seen standout plays from Kyle unless I can be corrected I’ve yet to witness anything like described.

There was a point later in the game he seemed to call something out / change something while at the line, but no, he isn't doing that much if at all.

What I want to know is why does the communication look fast with Allen but Cam seems to have issues.  I wonder if they skimmed down terminology or something for Allen.  Odd.

I don’t think it has to do with terminology at all. Cam just kinda takes his sweet time doing everything. Not really much urgency. He likes to watch the previous play on the big screen or if he has just run for a 1st he celebrates then he kneels in huddle and once the huddle breaks he waits an extra second to stand up after the rest of the offense has already left to get in formation then after he stands he saunters to the line. So basically when you add all of those things together he really pushes the limit of the play clock so any little extra thing happens to cost an extra couple seconds means a time-out has to be burned.
