I'm worried Allen is gonna get killed against the better defenses. Then we'll be one good hit away from returning to the wildcat.

When people see the thread, they take the meaning to future HOF or Cam's future replacement.

I just think KA is starting material.

I want Cam 100% and not mess himself up for the long run. This Oline would kill a hurt Cam and prob mess him up further. His foot needs to heal for better mobility and be the Cam we know and love.

i agree, and he'll hold the ball waiting for something to pop and take a bunch of hits behind this trash pass blocking line.  i don't want to see that.  i don't think he can sustain that anymore.  i think kyle is the better choice until our line gets straightened out only because he gets the ball out fast or bails.  have no idea what we really have in allen for those same reasons.  have no idea if he's the answer, but if we're trotting out cam, who's under contract situations, we need to be able to protect him. that's just how i feel

Texans and Jags Dlines/Front 7 are no freaking joke. 

What we need more than anything else is a healthy and gelled Oline for any QB!

He’s a great backup. You are right, his pocket awareness is poopy. Cam gets a lot of flak on here, but he ability to work a pocket is not to be ignored.

Started out leaning yes now he’s looking more like a bottom tier starter/high end backup. Still way too early to know. Plenty of successful QBs have had some really bad stretches early in the careers.

However, he can never be a legit starter if he doesn’t fix the fumble problem.

Allen can start in the league and can win games but he has flaws and I don’t think he can be considered a long term option based on the current body of work.  And no.  Not better than Cam Newton. Just healthier at the moment.
