Isn't Ron now like 9-2 in his last 11 games with a healthy starting QB?

Yes.  And with healthy QB play we'd be looking at a third playoff season in a row, with 2016 being the result of injury and talent drain the previous year and preventing what would likely have been potentially 7 straight playoff seasons

I never said it was 100% the players that won and 100% the coaches who lost. It's the players job to execute the game plan. It's the coaches job to prepare one. For 15 wins the plan worked, excellent job coaches and coordinators. The loss to Atlanta pointed out glaring weaknesses in our team and a proven method of how to beat them. Speed on the edges and our tackles were overwhelmed. Then came the playoffs and Rivera and Shula didnt change what they had been doing all season going into the Super Bowl. Cam and company couldnt execute the same game plan that was completely outmatched by the other coaches preparation.

When our tackles were getting burned, did we change our playcalling? Nope. Changes at halftime. Nope. The coaches and coordinators dropped the ball. Bigtime.

Did the players play a perfect game? No. But the players can only execute the offense called. If coaches had prepared or made changes at halftime, I fully believe that Lombardi would have been ours.

The long standing gripe most of us have had is that RR is not capable of changing or adapting in the moment, or adjusting  something that clearly isnt working. He may be the greatest players coach ever, but I also believe he is severely limited by his stubbornness and resistance to change.

This is year 9 and the only consistency is the lack of any consistency. I, and a lot of fans, just want more and frankly at this point, I think we deserve it.

Sure, there has been a lack of innovation and adaptability. But it’s also hard to win games when challenges are blatantly working against you, two of your RBs are losing fumbles right out of the gate, you defense comes out of the gate flat and it’s hard to throw out a game plan that has won you 17 games over the season. Ask the 18-1 Patriots how difficult it is. Even Belichick had a hard time in that situation and he’s considered the goat.

I absolutely adore the fact that pretty much everyone ITT demanded Ron be fired in December, but now that we're 3-2 he's irreplaceable

I've stuck by him the whole time. And now we've won three in a row with an undrafted back up qb, half our Oline injured, our star DT injured and our kicker on IR.

Fire them? Hell, they deserve Coach of the Year if they can maintain this pace.

By many on this board, Cam Newton is a generational talent QB and first ballot HoF lock. On the other side of the ball is Luke, another huddle consensus HoF 1st ballot guy. With that kind of guy leading your offense and your D, how have you put together 3 winning seasons in 8? No back to back winning seasons. No long term track record of success.

Good coaches can win every now and then. Great coaches win consistently. They build a team around the strengths of their players, not try to force them into a role that dont fit. They surround themselves with the best talent available, not just their loyal followers and a bunch of yes men.

Cam plays his best in an up tempo offense. So naturally we play the exact opposite. Up by 10 in the 3rd, go to prevent D letting the other team right back in it instead of keeping the pressure on and putting the game out of reach. It happens so often the team is called the Cardiac Cats for fugs sake. Keep trotting out vets when theres guys on the bench who are better if they could ever step a toe on the field.

He's a great defensive coordinator, hes a players coach, but if he has the level of talent that so many people claim that Cam and Luke are, how do you not expect more from him? How can you be satisfied with a guy making the same mistakes over and over and never learning from them?

I'm not happy with only being able to have a playoff shot in odd years because even years always suck. I'm not happy without back to back winning seasons ever. I'm not happy with a coach that makes a decision 4 weeks after a 30 page thread on a fan forum has been talked about to death.

Maybe under Tepper he gets his poo together and turns things around. Judging by what we've seen so far, I dont think its gonna happen. I sincerely hope I'm wrong because I want this team to win long term.
