I’m talking about the jags. Fewell had them 1st and 2nd in the league 2017 and 2018. That’s why I wondered why he was fired and we were able to get him. Unless I’m missing some info that doesn’t make sense.

You’re right...and it doesn’t make sense. Probably some personal thing - but their loss is our gain. As some stated earlier, it’s fun watching the defense again.

The majority of players and coaches say this, but they're human too. If any of us got fired from our present company and had the opportunity to later hand them an L in their industry, we'd relish it. We'd give 112% on that one. Smitty was just one of the few people in the NFL willing to openly acknowledge what we all already knew was the case. Yeah, this poo is personal. Yeah, I'm gonna try to stick the knife in deep and twist the fug out of it this week.

Look at the Jags secondary after Fewell left, they are borderline terrible and have one int thru four games... it ain’t just coincidence.

Definitely one of Ron’s best hires... I hope Minshew leaves Sunday wondering WTF just happened

Agreed.  Seems ridiculous to fire a coach whose unit is right at the top in the league, regardless if the new regime wants "their own guys".  Oh well though, happy they did!  Our gain.

So are we anticipating that if Ron’s case to stay is borderline at the end of the season he will play the old blame the coordinator game and fire Washington, promoting Fewell to take his place, or is it too soon to type that out loud?

On top of everything else to love about Smitty, this to me has always been an added bonus of his fearlessness. Might not like what you hear cause he ain’t gonna sugar coat it for ya, but he’ll let you know where he stands.

Cant fault Fewell for low keying it cause no need to provide locker room fuel for the Jacks, just sayin.

in fairness...…they played KC to open the season.  And KC is going to distort a lot of things if you have a small sample size.    Then you have the game Jalen Ramsey sat out.

The other two games w/ Ramsey played in they allowed 0 passing TDs, allowed the opponents an average of 10pts per game, and an average of 237 yards in the air.  That isn't bad pass defense.   Ramsey is a huge factor when on the field.  Totally changes their defense and what an opponent can attempt.

True that. It doesn't make sense. Maybe someone knows the skinny on that.

For those who don't know, we picked up Fewell after Jacksonville fired him after he led the Jaguars to 2nd against the pass in 2018 and 1st in 2017. Lo and behold, he moves to the Panthers and suddenly we have the number 1 pass defense through 4 games. So is this just  another game or a chance to show them they made a mistake letting him go.

Eam, didn't realize Marrone has been there three years.  That definitely makes it a surprising move.
