Daley at LT?

Sure beats blowing up the lineup.

I think Matso likes Moton on the right. I guess the analytics guy must of told him the right side is most important especially when they roll Allen to the right.  I hope Daley  does a good job at LT with some help and gameplanning. Little doesn't seem to be able to avoid concussions and this time he will be out for some time I fear. For all those folks wanting Williams at right tackle just remember how much help he needed on the right side as well with speed rushers.

I feel better with Daley than Williams at LT. With Turner out having Williams at RG keeps that side of our line solid. With GVR playing pretty good and being experienced enough to call out blitzes to Daley, I don’t think it will be that bad. Daley seems to have some talent and played against SEC defenses in college which helps.  We may have to keep a FB on TE on his side to babysit for most of the game, but this will give him some great experience. Imagine if he is solid and Little gets healthy. You can slide Daley to LG and have a solid young line for several years...

I guess I’m getting my wish. I am always complaining that we don’t play the young guys.

Well here comes a 6th round rookie.  Hopefully my wish doesn’t get Allen broken in half.

Becuase then my wish would just be compounded with Daley at LT and Grier at QB.

Heck it could be entertaining.

The same coaching staff that thought Byron Bell was good, Nate Chandler could switch from DL to OL, Amini Silatolu was better than Andrew Norwell and no changes were needed going into the Super Bowl?

Yeah, can't imagine why anybody wouldn't have full confidence in them.

There's not a team in the league that hasn't shown some personnel decisions that haven't gone as planned. Even on the Patriots.

And this was the coaching staff that went 15-1 with Remmers and Oher at the tackle positions... so there is some history of making something out of nothing.

Moton played LT one game people. Not any proven record at LT. Leave him be at RT to have some coherence and continuity on the line. Williams was overrated at RT, got lots of help. Keep him at RG while Trai is hurt.

I hate that we've got another mess at LT, but give Daley a shot. Sounds like he has some promise.

The most sensible poster on this board makes her statement, and she is, as almost always, exactly right.

Gotcha. You're smarter and ahead of the game compared to all the GMs making bank in the NFL. LOL!  Typical massive ego p55 stuff right there. Yes, the facts show that I'm wrong but I'm still actually right because I'm smarter than everyone else

To be fair..isn't this entire board dedicated to people allegedly being smarter than GMs, etc?

I mean, this entire thread is based on being smarter and more ahead of the game than the Panthers GM.

FYI: Already said @#$&* too, several times in fact.

If this stuff keeps up, I'm gonna need some new curse words. The old ones aren't cutting it.

my personal favorite being a Star Wars nerd is E chu ta. It is what the silver droid that looks just like C 3po says to him in cloud city. Goldenrod's response is "how rude!" So we don't know what E chu ta means, just that it's extremely rude. I find this useful for purposes of plausible deniability in social settings.

Look, dude. If you want to go with the "trust our leadership" thing, that leadership has to be better than 3 winning seasons in 8 for that to work.

Tampa fans spent like three years talking about their team being the best in the league because they won the Super Bowl in 2002. When we keep referring back to 2015, ignoring the fact that we've been getting more and more mediocre since, that's exactly how we sound.

Here's another one that doesn't cut it.

"Trust them because they're professionals." Cool. Marvin Lewis was a professional too. Did the Bengals part ways with him too soon?

As has been said many times, it's not their job to be smarter than us. It's their job to be smarter than the professionals running the other 31 other teams.

They have yet to prove that they can do that.

Nobody thought he was good. Your boy Gettleman did nothing to get us a decent tackle for several years. Plus he was left handed remember?

Of course you dont.

Sometimes the answer is on the roster. Do you remember who said that?

Very likely Gross is playing in the SB if not for Gettleman. We arent stupid enough to think it was Riveras fault the line had no tackles.

So we started a guy at left tackle that we knew was bad?

Sure, that makes sense.
