Hogan on IR

Think about it. If our starters had played at all in the preseason, this is about the point where they'd be physically when the season starts to kick in. We basically didn't have them play at all during the preseason, so all the injuries you typically get hit with in that time frame because guys bodies aren't back to where they need to be are hitting now instead.

The injuries piling up are obviously a concern but as long as we can get someone even halfway competent at left tackle in the time being we still have talented backs and receivers that we can lean on. It's up to the staff to put things together. The Jags are good but if we can't at least beat them we aren't going to do jack poo in our division anyway because the Bucs just dropped 40+ on the Rams and the Saints are winning without Brees. The Falcons are well... the Falcons. But the sad thing is as bad as they are now, they have had our number the last couple of seasons in a row.

whatever it takes to save his job.

now ron and marty have another excuse to use when they're groveling for their jobs at the end of the season.

It would make no sense to start IR’ing people when we’re on a two game winning streak.

There aren’t even enough halfway competent LTs that are starters. We aren’t finding one off the street in week 5.

Let's be honest... so far, every injury has ended up rotating in someone who is playing better than the one being replaced.

Not sure that's sustainable, but dang look at the depth.

Still, I hate to hear it for Hogan and hope he fully recovers and can make a comeback.

It's a bad predicament no doubt, but it shouldn't be an excuse for another potential losing season if that happens. We're a near decade in with this staff helmed by Rivera. These issues with the offensive line have been a consistent concern almost every season now.
