Another Concussion for Greg Little

Untouchable

Yeah, that is kind of what I mean. Those "small" concussions are cumulative damage. I don't know that it had as much to do with bigger, stronger athletes in the NFL as just the steady progress of that damage.

Either way, we know what the ultimate result was. That is what I am concerned about for Little.

That's the thing. Could be wrong, but I don't think even Morgan got concussions this close together (at least not that I can recall).

Yeah, it's cause for concern.

Considering the closeness of the injuries, I have to assume that he was not fully recovered. Do we even know if he got this injury in the game or did this happen in practice?

We don't.

On the one hand, he was cleared from the protocol. On the other, concussions are tricky business.

I know Rodrigue is saying it's a second concussion but I don't think the team has said anything officially (probably have to take stuff from the team with a grain of salt anyway).

Stay tuned...

If we don't put Moton at LT after this...

It's like the very universe itself has been desperately trying to get us to play Moton at LT.

Person speculated that Dennis Daley could get a shot.

I don't know what to tell ya...

Technically just being a little woozy after a hit is a concussion symptom but it happens all the time. Certainly happened to me when I played but I've never had a concussion.

Far as I (or anybody, honestly) know, Morgan never did either till he got to the pros. But again, Morgan is only one example. There are plenty of guys who manage to stay completely healthy until they get to the pros and start hitting bigger, faster people on a regular basis.

Not to mention all the wear and tear of all that HS and college football they played.

Let's just see what happens before we declare Little's career over. Luke missed multiple games for us under the concussion protocol, and he's having a great year this year.  Greg Little will most likely be fine, AND he's shown flashes of potential that could mean the end of our drought at LT. If Daley comes in one week and starts, he'll have help in the form of extra blockers, and maybe, just maybe he'll look okay at LT, since it's the only spot he's ever played in his entire career. He did start at LT for an SEC school for two years. If so, awesome! If not, then at least you can say you were right, and that's really what it's all about on a message board now isn't it?

Oher went into the protocol and never played again... I sure hope Little doesn’t follow him

Oher also kept playing in a game with a concussion and then practice. Hopefully, Little didn't do that but I have no idea when the concussion actually happened.  If they allow him to rush back, there is that scary chance he could be.

you positive he's gonna get help?   doesn't seem like anyone notices when the left tackle is getting our qb killed

The first concussion was in week 3 of preseason against the Patriots. He was then in the protocol until after the Rams game in week 1 at which point he was cleared. Given the short week and desire not to rush him back he practiced but was inactive against the Bucs. Then he split snaps at LT with Williams against the Cards and started and played the whole game against the Texans where presumably the second concussion occurred.
