Yeah, turf toe can be a really big deal. It's easy to dismiss it as "just a toe" but you don't realize how vital your big toe is until that thing is hurting. It's debilitating.

They should probably start calling that something else. It sounds like no big deal :)

(there is another, more technical term for it, but I forget what it is)

Yeah turf toe has a serious branding issue. It sounds like you just stubbed your toe into the ground and got a booboo. Not that you tore the ligament.

falsely?  flailing?   hilarious?   time to copy and paste some more stats bro.  but way to keep trashing the fans. super douchey

Do you have anything else in your repertoire beyond just littering the word "douche" over, and over?

You think your knowledge of how to be a leader of men in football is so infallible that you even asked someone that disagreed with you if they've ever played sports. Yet you are concerned with "CiViLiTy".

raz someone needs to tell you the truth. Your opinions are not special, and dozens of like minded individuals like yourself can be found all over the Panthers facebook page and twitter mentions. If that's you then be you, but not everybody has to pat you on the head and tell you how right you are. If you're 52 years old, you shouldn't need this to be explained to you.

Truth.

Hell, I never played organized sports beyond the high school level and was nothing special. I came down awkwardly after a rebound in basketball and felt multiple pops. Got up and tried to run and fell flat on my face because my ankle couldn't support weight. Coach had to call a timeout to get me out of the game. I'll play through it and it'll loosen up and I'll be fine. Nope. Got to the bench and the moment they untied my shoe my ankle blew up like a balloon. Severe high ankle sprain, done for the season.

As recently as a few years ago I kept snowboarding with torn ligaments in my knee. At 37 now, I'm finally accepting that I can't do that crap anymore and have to take better care of myself. But by this age, the vast majority of pro athletes have retired.

It’s the competitive nature, I don’t know how to describe it particularly, but whether you are a pro athlete or play pick up games at a park or rec department it’s just the thrill of the competition that will drive you to play through injuries, of course not the smartest thing in hindsight but it happens every single day with people in your neighborhood or surroundings. I held off patella surgery because I knew it would keep me inactive for 6-9 months, I’ve had the surgery since and still finding it hard to rehab peacefully without getting the urge to step on a field or on a court, it’s just one of those things you can’t logical explain but can related to with others who’ve felt a similar way

Hey how about pull up a game where Cam had 3 or more turnovers and still won the game. I will be waiting awhile, that's because he would still be on the sideline :crying:. Allen don't let stuff bother him that's the kind of QB u want.

EAGLES GAME 2015. Anything else you need clown.

2-0 is the primary stat that matters. A lot of folks don't really give a sh-t about any of the others

Allen had one subpar game and one spectacular one. Yet even in the subpar game, he pulled it out at the end.

I said elsewhere it reminded me a lot of Jake Delhomme's first two games. Hell, up through like week eight or nine of the 2003 season, we had people saying they should give Chris Weinke a chance.

Allen is still defining himself at this point. What he'll ultimately be, we don't yet know. I do know that if people had written off Jake after the poor showing his second game, they'd have missed out on a lot of good memories

I am not writing off Allen.  I am only saying that Allen is not impressing me yet.  Does he have potential?  Sure.  But we are over here, wanting to kick Cam to the side while boasting about anything Allen did reasonably well and dismissing any negatives (5 fumbles, 4 lost in 2 games).

All I am saying is if 220 yards, 2-3 turn overs a game is what we are still getting from Allen in a month when (hypothetically) Cam comes back, if Cam is 100% healthy he should be the starter unless he shows he can't even put up those paltry numbers.

If Allen actually improves and cleans up his game?  its a different story.

We are so worried about writing off Allen we are immediately writing off Cam.  We wouldn't accept this play in Cam as the starter, even if we were winning.  I don't accept it in Allen.

So once again.  I am not saying we should give up on Allen, trade for a replacement, whatever.  I am only saying if his current gameplay continues, I prefer a 100% healthy Cam.

a lot of the cam or die fans came on board after jake.   they haven't been thru this before.   its hard as hell and i don't blame them at all.

You’re half right. We have been through it which is why you don’t go from Cam Newton to Kyle Allen.

    • At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
