Houston Writer detailed breakdown of the Panthers

When RR coaches the defense,  it’s a misnomer for the front seven, because they play offense.  They run plays with stunts/blitzes 4/3 3/4   and make the other team react to them. When they win, the secondary is put into a position to win.

Those clips and the analysis were very good and video has gotten so good in definition and hardware so fast you can actually see what is happening and stop start to your heart's desire, and not lose anything.

People have such short memories that they forget our excellent secondary coach Wilkes was promoted to DC, the first time our defensive staff was raided and after just one year he was gone as well. Two years two major changes, that is tough for any staff to absorb.

No one does the "not miss a beat" thing all that great besides New England, that immediately comes to mind. Seattle maybe. Pittsburgh used to be pretty good at it.

And we don't know who was first choice that couldn't be had, before 2018 (do we?). Probably wasn't Rogers.

We were lucky to get Fewell for sure, I am certain he would have been on Rivera's radar before this year as they worked in the same relationship when Rivera was Bears DC. Like Norv, took a while for things to line up.

Hmm.  It would certainly make sense.  Just need to step away from interior pressure without just getting deeper. Bradys the best at it.

Eh not really. U beat brady with interior pressure which is why we usually beat them. McD dialed up that gameplan and if it wasnt for that blocked punt buffalo would have won sunday

Coaching. Fewell was such an important hire.

Beat me to it...

Remember, last year they were being coached by Richard Rodgers.

This was a HUGE upgrade. Amazing what can happen when you put someone that knows what they're doing in a job rather than your buddy.

Obviously you beat any QB with interior pressure. But if it is not a push on both sides of the interior. QBs can maneuver around it. I used to coach this. Part of feeling around the pocket.
