One of the kickers at NC State during the Chuck era was a 4.3-4.4 40 guy. He had a game against Miami where he just walked down the returner who had gotten loose. I always wondered why the hell you would waste a guy that fast on being a kicker.

We had a high school coach a county over from where I went who used his starting quarterback as a long snapper.

Not kidding...

That lasted about three games before an opposing coach took notice and lined up his two best defensive lineman, one on each knee.

They carried that kid out on a stretcher.

Now granted, the coach who took him out was an a--hole, but his own coach never should have put him in that position. That was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
