When I was at App. There was one year the long snapper was the strongest dude on the team because they do their drills with the kickers and just lift and become muscle hamsters lol.

I wouldn't say it's common by any means, but in terms of NFL players excelling in the league after struggling some in college, that's not super rare. Look at Daniel Jones with NY. The Giants were roasted for the pick, and so far he is actually performing quite well. Sometimes it boils down to plain old fashioned practice and determination. Joey has been putting in work, you have to give credit where it's due.

It really is weird that he's 100% our kicker for good now. I never saw that coming and I'm sure Gano didn't either. I just hope we manage to trade Gano for even a 7th rounder because I don't want him signing with Tampa Bay or Atlanta.

The last time I remember feeling this positive about our special teams coach it was Scott O'Brien, and unfortunately for all involved, he was an POS to work with.

Yep. Sauerbrun could kick the hell out of the ball but he had sh-t for brains.

Slye seems to be a lot more level-headed, especially given the story with his brother.

CB has been nothing short of amazing as a ST coach. He looks to have a bright future.
