2 things that Kyle Allen has shown that cam has not in a long long time:

1) pocket awareness

2) ability to throw down the field

his fumbling problems can be easily corrected. Cam needs to be more than 100% when he gets back. The rest of his career depends on it.

Gotta disagree here, 3 sack fumbles does not equate to good pocket awareness

Here's the thing, how long has he been the HC? Why has it taken this long to do thos? Why did it have to be turned around? Who made the situation such that it needed to be turned around?

One man: Ron.

Tepper should be praised for making Rivera do this.

Well he didn’t need to do when we had McD and Wilks wasn’t quite as good but still did a good job. It wasn’t until the Washington sh*tshow from last year that Ron had to take over which he did probably a few games too late.

Most interesting thing I heard was Lewis saying that Butler is a beast in practice but doesn't understand how it disappears on game day.

That would be an interesting nugget. Hrm, you know how some folks say running backs need carries to get into a rhythm and really get going? Maybe Butler's thing is he needs more than just spot reps to really perform. I've been more than a little critical of him in the past and up to this point I think it's hard to deny he's been a bust for a first rounder, but this would be his no excuses chance to show what he can do. I'd love to eat crow on this one.

I hope you're right.  I think everyone would be willing to eat crow in exchange for Butler becoming a legit contributor on this team.

I think you might see Butler break out this year. He's just better playing at DE in the 3-4. Idk why but he is.

Lewis was also pretty adamant that CMC would never be more than a scat/3rd down back.

This! No matter how well CMC did last year, Lewis would repeatedly say he couldn't be an every down back. Listening to him talk today about Kyle Allen gave me flashbacks and I had to turn the radio off.

No probably about it and he returned it to Washington the first two games.

Beyond thickheaded.

Applauding Rivera for turning around the defense is like applauding a thief for only stealing $100 when he could have stole $500. Dummy, you shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

He's capable, but he's more focused on being a mentor and a good "coach" than winning. He won't do what needs to be done until his ass is in the frying pan then he turns into a near genius.

Do you have any evidence of this? Even when you made a thread about it, you admitted that you didn’t actually have any clue whether Washington was calling plays or not...you just “had a feeling” or something. I think it was right around the same time you were declaring us the worst team in the league (worse than Miami).

I would hope that a moderator of all people wouldn’t willfully engage in misinformation, but I dunno...you’ve become one of the most egregiously negative posters on here over the last month and it doesn’t look like winning is gonna change that.

Interesting...do you guys think Allen can lead us to the playoffs? I have no reason to not think he can.

We haven’t seen Allen face quality competition yet. Cards are trash and the Texans are poorly coached. Jax sucks and so do the Bucs. Won’t really know what Allen’s all about until they play the Seahawks or Saints or someone playoff caliber
