Trade Deadline

O line is our biggest weakness, Trent Williams was an ideal trade for us but the emergence of little makes that trade lose a lot of steam.

Aj green would be a nice piece to add and play that v Jax role but Moore and Samuel have shown more than enough that they are ready to take the next step.

The rich get richer? Adding von Miller or another pass rusher like Kerrigan ect would just be a abundant of riches, not to mention von would easily cost a first and more.

Cockrell’s play has even made cb depth a non issue.

I recommend they find some way to upgrade the o line, I’ve seen this movie before, complacency while the rich get richer

Chris Harris Jr is probably available. Last year of his contract and he’s not happy. Might be able to get him for a 4th or 5th. Don’t know that I would do it but he is an elite slot CB and very good on the outside. Could be used like we used to use Captain and have him play outside in base then move him into the slot in nickel.

Would give us the best set of 3 CBs in the NFL

I agree with everything except the compensation, you’ll have to at least give up a 3rd, because they’d get one as a comp if they let him walk next year. So a 3rd and a 5th is what I’d assume.

The problem is absolutely nobody is trading a good lineman for anything even approaching reasonable compensation. Teams don’t even want to trade their decent backups because they are so valuable.

I don’t think 31 year old Chris Harris is getting a contract that will award 3rd round comp pick. Also the comp pick is in 2021 and our pick would be 2020. A 2020 4th = a 2021 3rd.

Redskins are still a franchise so you never know lol, but I feel if he was shopped a team like the eagles or chiefs would have swooped in by now, regardless a 4th even a 3rd for a team like us would be a steal

An inquiry on Von Miller was interesting but the damn d line here has been playing ridiculous, would have love to pair miller with burns and have a player with very very similar skills learn from one of the best.

Yeah I think the Eagles will be first in line for Harris if he is available, but they wouldn’t trade him to the Chiefs to help their biggest rival win a SB.

The stuff from Harris came out recently so I wouldn’t have expected a trade market to have developed for him yet. now that they are 0-4 and definitely out of the playoffs considering they still have to play the Chiefs twice I can see things start to move.

There is no way Von is available and I don’t think we could afford the compensation and his salary even if he was.

Someone got a LG available? That's about the only real pressing need I can think of if Little keeps playing well at LT. Gotta keep hoping that Paradis will play his way back into shape. He just seems really physically weak out there right now.

YES YES, go look for a Guard and im sure the asking price wouldnt be to high.

Broncos fans are already pissed. They'd probably straight up riot if the team traded Von Miller, especially since Chubb just tore his ACL. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a complete house cleaning in Denver this coming off-season.

Agreed on Harris, and broncos are going to be in full rebuild, 0-4 with Flacco not too much longer before lock is the starter.

I think von is available for the right price, elway was asked about trading him in the offseason and didn’t give a definite “no” he said “we’ll have to see”, surprising we would have the cap space to add him but again the d line is ballin without our pro bowl dt even in the line up and dropping a first plus more for him isn’t Ideal, would love a addition of Chris Harris for minimal compensation

That’s what I’m assuming, Broncos should just blow it all up imo, if we ever were in a similar position I’d trade Luke for picks and clean house, give a new gm ample resources to work with.

btw it’s a pipe dream and I’m in the same boat as you guys I highly doubt it happens, but I remember elway being asked about it this past offseason

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
