clearing up this kyle allen vs cam newton battle

Can’t wait for a healthy Cam to comeback and pick up where he left off back in 2018 before he reaggravated the shoulder. A lot of bad takes on Cam will look silly here come December. People conveniently forget the last half of 2017 and first of 2018. A healthy Cam on this squad is the best team in the NFC. I have zero doubt about that. Feel free to quote me in January.

Ummm that TD/INT ratio is fuging atrocious. If Newton were putting up a similar stat line this place would be fuging defcon 5, plus his team is practically free falling despite having the best combination of offensive pieces in the NFC.

But you’re agenda is clear and has been made even more crystal with this weak sauce attempt

he is number two in yards, because he puts his team in bad positions now they have to throw all game. Using yards to suggest he is the #2 QB is a terrible decision. Even in his mvp year, Ryan was bailed out so many times by his team.

And even with that horrible ratio, he's still #2.  But you're right, he sucks as a QB.

#2 in yards, who cares? he just throws a lot and has the most physically gifted receiver in the game and cant even get it to him in times when they need it tho most. His rating is right there with Case Keenum. WOW!!!

Cam is a QB who has done things in that position that the league has never seen before, and may likely not see again. After 2 shoulder surgeries and a lisfranc injury (especially after Olsen) , its logical to question whether his 100% will ever truly be 100% and how that affects his play going forward, his upcoming contract and future with the team and in the NFL as a whole.

Kyle Allen has started 2 games this year and the team has won them both. 3 NFL starts is too soon to crown him the next Tom Brady or Jimmy Pickles. He has shown some good things, and some not so good things. At this point, the Panthers are at .500, our schedule is favorable for the next couple of weeks, and it's possible Cam returns to a team poised to make a playoff run. Cam didnt lose 9 games in a row by himself and KA hasnt won his 3 alone either.

If it's #1 or #7 behind center I dont really care. This TEAM is in a far more favorable position than many others. I want this team to succeed. I hope that Cam isnt rushed back too soon and he takes the time to get his body right and his head right from the recovery process. In the meantime, we're winning and it feels good.

It’s really pretty simple... The Panthers want Cam back on the field regardless of how good Kyle is playing. They can save around 19m by cutting him next year and if he doesn’t return to the old Cam then he’s likely gone.

The Panthers WILL NOT let Kyle play the entire 2019 season if Cam is healthy again.
