A healthy Cam or CMC who do you resign?

Regardless of whatever the future may or may not hold for Cam Newton, the quarterback position will always be the higher priority. Running backs have become less and less a position in which you have to make significant investment. Especially with how many teams are struggling with maintaining a competent offensive line. If anything if it boils down to paying an RB anywhere near 70 million or more, conventional wisdom would dictate to spend that money putting maulers along the OL. Look at the Saints. They got Kamara for a 3rd rounder, they built up their OL, and they are winning with Teddy Bridgewater.

In all my years on this forum I've seen maybe a couple fans at absolute most who just didn't care for Jake Delhomme. I am not exaggerating when I say that Jake is resoundingly beloved by the Carolinas. Everything about him was "relatable". From his love of the "simple things" in spending his days on his farm with his horses, to his "fiery" attitude on the football field.

Trying to make any comparisons to that with the very loud and unmistakable sound of ignorance that follows any remotely innocuous onfield miscue or off the field behavior deemed unacceptable by Cam Newton is just plain disingenuous and intentionally deceptive.

Consider the possibility that the concept of a "healthy Cam" could be more myth than fact.  IF his body has had enough, there will be no more "healthy Cam."

That is not Cam bashing--that is reality.  It is sports. It is cause and effect.

Jake won an MVP?

An MVP award is an individual accolade....not a team accolade.  Jake went to a superbowl and an NFC championship game. Playoffs 3 times.  He was an undrafted backup.  Cam has an MVP trophy on him....that's really it.

It's not like Newton hasn't also accomplished all of that.
