Better than having to deal with the anti cam zealots/bigots who have hated him since before he was drafted and only come out of their holes when he or the team aren't doing so well and all they do is poo on him.

You may not think it's a lot,  but trust me there are.

Its never going away though is it? I mean its not going to diminish with him being injured and ineffective. The way Cam fixes that narrative is get better and win games. Our talking about how effective he was at the start of last season has no bearing on now. And like you say even if he gets back to his best which is far from guaranteed he probably still won't get his due. So what is the point in threads like these except to feed insecurities about Cams future? Its just sad people spoiling for an argument about their absent favorite player. I want to see the Panthers win. So far this year Cam has done nothing to improve their chances of this. And now in the face of a  a good road win people still want to have a pity party for him. Its kind of pathetic.

Rando at my bar was watching with me in the fourth quarter. Kyle Allen pulls a matrix move to escape the crashing end. We all pound the bar. Dude goes, without a trace of irony,

"I'm just saying, Cam Newton couldn't have done that"

Cam Newton made a fuging career out of doing that. Healthy Cam Newton ducks out of hits like that in his sleep and doesn't lose three fumbles because he is a tank with A-grade pocket awareness. He is an elite quarterback.

There is a positive correlation between people who say catastrophically stupid things like "cam newton couldn't have done that" and people who subjectively despise him for things like wearing a towel and dancing.

Cam Newton makes people deranged and it's going to be an unbelievable source of catharsis for me when he returns to take over the reins from Kyle Allen around thanksgivingish and leads this team to the playoffs

Lmao yea I thought the same thing when I saw Kyle pull that move.

Guys it's possible to wish the best for Kyle, the team, and Cam Newton at the same time. We need to be thankful that we have a guy that can keep the team moving forward until we truly know where Cam's at. If he's throwing 3 TD's a game and Cam comes back playing poorly AND healthy then yeah we need to have a conversation.

But still only ignorant people care about what Cam wears. I care about his ability and his leadership for the team. He doesn't owe anyone more than that.

These arm chair Jake Delhommes would rather have Russel Wilson if he was injured and sucking  because his fake ass will give the most disingenuous pint point post game interview ever.

So... what are you going to do if Cam comes back, and absolutely craps the bed in his 1st game back?

I’ll be honest... I will be very interested to see which fans we lose whenever Cam ends up hanging up his cleats for good.  It’ll likely make this board much more civil, tolerable, positive, and PANTHERS-focused again.

Remember last week when you were jumping in threads saying something like "Maybe it wasn't the o-line"?

That's a little uncalled for.

We can debate all we want but no need to bring families into it.

Be spirited but civil. After all we all bleed Black and Blue.

It's one of the people Philly bodied  in the tinderbox. They're butthurt & can't help it.

Fighting against bigotry is pathetic now? You're answer is to not even address it and pretend it doesn't exist. Typical.
