Is Allen the future...too early to tell. Is this team better with him playing at the moment...no doubt.

Glad Cam finally learned that he isn’t helping the team by playing injured.

yep, we'd be 3-1 or 4-0 had cam been honest.

So much for the notion that Allen doesn't have critics. Seems some of them are the same folks that are huge Cam fans. Too bad some folks think saying good things about Kyle is somehow negative to Cam although in my mind it doesn't matter how we win,  I bet Cam was excited for the win since I know he is a team player and puts the team above himself. Too bad some of his fans don't do the same.

Yep, and 2 of the 3 are HOFers playing at their house, yet they still won in LA.  The other managed to lead Jags to a lone TD drive en route to a whopping 12 points.   Us, on the other hand, gave up 50 points in two games at HOME! Say what you will, the Texans defense is not garbage and for some reason you have a hard time giving credit where credit is due in respect to Allen and the Texans defense.  You may have an agenda...I don't know and could really care less.

The Texans secondary is garbage and next week when they get lit up by Matt Ryan what’s gonna be your excuse?

I’m just stating what the numbers say, you probably have a secret agenda

His mistakes weren't throwing the ball, period.  All his mistake were on the OL.  If we are being real right now, who's to blame for the sack/fumbles...Allen or his so-called protection?   Regardless of where you place the blame, the dude doesn't fold after getting dealt some really crappy hands.

The sack/fumbles were on Allen today.  Needs to climb the pocket on 2 of them and did not secure the ball while running on the third.

Eeeehhh, not all of them.

Said it elsewhere: I've never seen a sack fumble happen without an offensive lineman blowing his assignment.

Again, the game day threads consists of those who are usually drunk off their asses, I’m speaking from personal experience in that regard. What you DONT see is thread after thread after thread after thread talking about kyle’s attire, if he’s faking an injury, gay, not committed to the sport or team, take your fuging pick.

I mean we have a Tom Brady comparison to Kyle Allen thread on the front fuging page.

I realized the "how drunk can you get" factor was at play in the GDT's years ago so I avoid them. Logic tells me that if they are commenting on a play, they are missing the next one and anything the booth is saying (although the Texan game booth was pretty bad, not much to miss.)  I fail to understand how they can feel confident to post about the game afterwards as if they were in Ron's pocket when they missed so much.

Nah I believe Allen is a solid QB, but we’re singing a different tune if O’brien doesn’t call that play and our defense didn’t play like it did today. Which was damn near legendary a performance.

Two long balls missed by their WR's. Thank goodness. It has nothing to do with the plays called but with the bad throws made by Watson. And why did he make those bad throws? Because he had to throw before he was ready. Why? Because of pressure from our front 7. Both times Watson was hit right after making those throws. I could continue with the "why's" but you get the point, right? Our defense caused those plays to not work. Not O'Brien.

That WR pass was one of the most horrible play calls I have ever seen.

I rather see mistakes from him with the fumbles, than throwing into triple coverage and not reading defenses correctly. I think the fumbles will go away with experience.

70% pass completion today on his throws.

Exactly. That is a clock adjustment - realizing that the point when the ball has to be out or tucked might be a little different in the Pros.

lol And what team do you follow?

I think we’re treading off from what you quoted me. I believe our D played astounding, but that WR pass was an absolute gift at the time because 1.) they were on a short field. 2.) they had all the momentum swinging their way with major yardage gains after back-to-back plays and were honestly going to score at least 3 if not 7 points that possession.

I’m not disagreeing with you btw

Why is it so hard for Panther fans on the Huddle to pull for our team without the sideways comparisons and debbie downers. It doesn't matter what Cam could do if he was healthy, HE'S NOT. Let's appreciate the fact that many of, including myself, did agree with us keeping Allen over Heinicke and its Allen that's saving the day, one game at a time.

Most of us were thrilled with the record shattering numbers Cam produced during his first few seasons, lack of wins not so much.

For context the Panthers were rebuilding the defense in 2011 and 2012. Our secondary was a joke, we were starting Sione Fua and Terrell McClain, Jon Beason was on his way out, and Luke didn't become who he is now until 2013 after he finally got to start at his natural position.

The Panthers QB in 2019 has a much better defensive unit overall from top to bottom compared to 2011 and 2012. Really it isn't even close.
