Eric Reid

He played center field like he was supposed to on the last play.  Look, Reid is not horrible, but he's not the savior of the secondary either.  Reid makes some plays and misses just as many, so when I criticize the $21 million dollar contract, this is why.  For $21 million, we should be getting better than average.  True, for Panthers' fans an average safety is better than we are accustom to historically, but lets not treat average like something special.  If average is all that and a bag of chips, lets put Trey Boston on that platform too.

He's actually below average.....bottom tercile among starting safeties.

It was almost like the QB

QB fumbled over and over, but then made the escape and clutch pass.

Reid, as some have said here, forgets he has arms occasionally, but made a great play on Watson.

We win, so all is forgiven

So Williams, Little, Paradis and Moton are forgiven too?  I disagree that wins covers up blemishes.  They may take the sting away for a brief moment, but the obvious flaws are on tape of which they will have to watch in evident embarrassment.

Nakamura  says hi lol. But seriously, Reid is a bit better than average I think. Glad we have him though.

Reid bit very early in the offseason.  The market for safeties recovered as the spring wore on.  Lucky for us otherwise the team probably would have paid him more than the $7 million a year if the deal would have been struck later on.

I was speaking in generalities basically, when you win, most fans do not hold your mistakes against you.  Other coaches will notice our flaws and hopefully our own coaches will clean them up
